Well, the combat is rather good for 1 playthrough, the item combination system is incomprehensible rubbish, disregard the whiners - the first half of the game is very good. The interaction between two protagonists is nice.
It all goes downhill once a certain character joins your party though... The only person this Mary Sue won't piss off is Baba, which is the designer of this game who insisted this character be made story-wise overpowered and annoying out of waifutism.

Honestly Zestiria isnt that bad.
After finishing the game on PC the best way I can describe it is "it had its moments".
If you have played other Tales Of games you already know not to expect a good plot so that part is no surprise. With Zestiria I feel like the plot had potential to be something really good but that turned out into something pretty average.
The characters are decent at best. Zaveid, Edna and Leilah are the only worth ones in my opinion. Sorey had potential to be a decent MC but they never got much into the "dark messiah" side that I thought the game would explore.
Combat is...okay I guess. Its like they picked Graces F combat and made it boring. Else I would still be playing it.
Overall, worth a pirate I guess.
