The only thing that bothers me is that you have to stick to your "side" or you won't get any benefits at all from them, especially in Mass Effect. You have to be a good guy or a dick all the way, no matter what. I guess. The interupts were pretty much the only good parts of the system becausethey don't lock you out of getting points for the other side in certain circumstancds, even then they're not that great because you never know what Shepard might actually do.

The mass effect series becomes a million times more enjoyable when you cheat your paragon and renegade to max.
This way you can choose the option you actually want to take, be it paragon or renegade, instead of having to max out one or the other.
You can actually roleplay instead of being forced on one path.

Either one you pick the other is going to die, it depends on who you believe is more valuable to yourself and to the mission. It's awful having to choose favorites but that's how it happens.
