I know the series has been out on PSP (and maybe Vita? not sure) for ages now, so does anyone have any tips?
I really want to use spear, but I feel like I'm taking way too much damage. Is it just a matter of learning how/when to block? What pointers do you guys have?

I think they re-released the original game with a new engine or something like that. It's tons of fun. It looks quite nice. Steam sequel will probably look even better.

Burst level above one can only be achieved via Aragami ammo passed from allies.
Unfortunately only new-types can do this for obvious reasons.
The last 2 members in the roster (who have Alt in their names) are New-types. The guy in particular (Fredrick??) loves giving you aragami ammo. He always make sure I'm at Burst level 3. Awesome guy to have.
Alisa isn't as good for whatever reason.

Neither is. Censored with English dubs only. You should get the PC version so you can patch the blood back along with JP audios because the English voices are trash.
