Do you want to fuck my rabbit pussy?

Why would I ever in any situation want to talk to the police unless I'm reporting a crime?

apparently the reason Cole would go apeshit at seemingly random times is because the original choices were coax, force, and lie instead of truth, doubt, and lie

Are there any games out there that are somewhat similar to LA noire? The whole being a detective thing, interrogating people, finding clues.

Why do we not have an in depth Sherlock Holmes game
>>
>>343352068
That was a Rockstar decision over a team Bondi thing.

Bondi was going to do:
Gentle
Aggressive
Accuse

But R* thought it "wasn't intuitive" so they made TB change it to "Truth, Doubt, Lie" because "it wasn't as confusing".

I don't think they knew what they were doing.

>>
>>343351921
Team Bondi went broke pretty much as soon as the game was released.
>>
>>343352968
Has there ever been an example of a publisher not being an absolute cunt to the developer?
>>
>game flat out tells you what evidence means instead of asking you to interpret it
>accuse guy of being religiously motivated after he calls the victim a shifty Jew, oops wrong choice for some reason
>wife says something wrong about the eyeglasses, accuse her of lying, oops wrong choice
>huge city with nothing to do in it
>affair for no reason other than to advance plot
>every murder case centers around a serial killer
>game whose gimmick is interrogating people ends with a stupid shootout in a sewer instead of interrogating the psychiatrist
>every other detective in the game is more interesting than the main character
Almost as disappointing as Spore, but at least I got to yell at a child rape victim in the hospital.
>>
>>343352068
>wife says that they just got new glasses
>huh, that doesn't sound right. Let's press doubt and see if we can get more information about this
This was the exact moment I realized I had wasted $60. I also think this was the last time I bought a game right upon release.

Replayed the game earlier this year and found the DLC cases to be pretty good. They actually show up in between the main cases so people who have never played the game before probably wouldn't even notice they are supposed to be DLC.
>>
>>343355521
This. I loved them. Especially the OD in a bathtub, Marilyn style.

The boxing rigging case was easily one of my favourite though.
Vice was great
>>
>YOU GO INTO THAT HEDGE MAZE PHELPS, THOSE THINGS CREEP ME OUT

What the fuck was Rusty's problem?
>>
Does the game actually have any replayability? It's been a few years and I don't really remember much of the cases, just a few of them as well as the god-awful ending.
>>
Can't you literally just say, "I'm busy, please go away, get a warrant" or is every suspect ever actually guilty?

I always see hate for the Arson story. But I actually thought it was incredible well written. It was neat how a simple house fire was actually a grand conspiracy involving real estate developers. Actually, I would say that Arson is probably my favorite part of the game. It could have ended better, but the idea itself was great. It just seemed a little disappointing to see Phelps get demoted.
>>
>>343359043

Is this DLC? Don't remember this at all.
>>
>>343350215
unique time in 1940's, god-tier soundtrack, perfect atmosphere.

That's what made me love it.

Awful story, retarded ending, stupid writing, the detective stuff (90% of the game) wasn't very refined.

That's what made me hate it.

It's a love-hate relationship.
>>
>have to dangerously trek across the oil field, being in danger of constantly sinking
>when you get to the little island, rusty just picks you up in a boat and takes you to shore

what the fuck? why couldnt you have just ridden the boat to the island?
>>
Why are "investigation" segments always the worst, most boring parts of detective games? And even worse, they always seem to take up the most time. The real interest is in interviewing witnesses, but those seem to go so quickly.
>>
I was just on my way to the beach

perhaps.

But first, care to check my merchandise ?

I really wanted to like this game but it was just a chore to play. The homicide cases dragged on way too long when a single murderer was way too obvious. The gameplay itself was incredibly tedious and most of it could have been cut. Danganronpa is a much better detective game in pretty much every way

Danganronpa. It has all the fun of searching for clues, getting information from people, and an incredibly fun interrogation/trial system without all the boring combat/driving. You also have to actually solve cases yourself without being spoonfed the real solutiom
