Got pic related as a kid. Came with a demo of Point Blank, but Klonoa was THE shit. Still play it from time to time. Never tried Klonoa 2 or the Wii Remake of the first game, are they good?
Emulated the Wonderswan game and the GBA games later on, but they were all mediocre at best.
this game depresses me because it reminds me of the time I first rented it on the weekend my first crush moved away. I was 11 at the time. Now everytime I hear untamed heart from the soundtrack I get the feels and miss her.
Can't finish the last level on Wii since 6 years, probably because I suck at it, the Wii one is just the PS1 game with updated graphics, it's good.

I have a lot of love for the two console Klonoa games. The first one has slightly better atmosphere then the second, but it's still great.

The second is even better than the first. That definitely says a lot.
They're near perfect games in my opinion. Klonoa 2 certainly doesn't have any flaws I can think of and their production values are top notch. Everything about them is amazing; soundtrack, visuals, controls and level design.
The Wii remake is really good but I can never decide if it's better. The visuals are certainly brilliant and it's worth playing for the visuals alone.
The GBA games aren't that great in comparison but they're still very enjoyable. Just not quite as good. More puzzle-y.

Normally I laugh at faggots who cry at video games, but this scene always, ALWAYS gets too me. Maybe it's the beautiful music, maybe it's the thought of a good friendship forcibly separated without them ever being reunited, and Klonoa is forced to just wander dreams eternally without the comfort of long-lasting friendship, maybe I'm just a sappy faggot too, or maybe all of the above.
I still have yet to play the sequel, but I hope it's just as good.
