Woah buddy, that kinda talk gets you banned on neo-/v/. You better start praising Naughty Dog and their absolutely perfect cinematic experiences before this turns into a 300 reply thread mocking you for your absolutely terrible taste in video games.
>>
>>343278945
It wasn't so much shit moreso just incredibly generic cinematic game.

I feel the same way about most really popular games this gen/last gen. They're not really bad, per se, but they are really boring.
>>
>>343278945
I disagree. Now UC4, that was shit. Pacing, exploration, story, combat, characters, everything but the visuals wise TLOU shits on UC4.
>>
>>343278945

I guess but I liked the how brutal the combat felt
>>

Woah I've never seen a post like this on /v/ before...I wonder what worthwhile and interesting discussion will spring up from this creative + thoughtful post

I personally thought TLoU was pretty shit

The gameplay was average and the story was laughably bad. It was all zombie tropes and there was literally no surprises at all.

I'm tired of Hollywood rejects trying to make video games

*applauds*
>>
>>343278945
No, it wasn't.
You either hate it because the game is highly praised or you want to stir up shit.

Op once again is a faggot.
>>
>>343278945
You mean movie
>>
>>343279345
sorry i don't like your really generic game, senpai
i feel the same way about spec ops the line and rdr, too

All Nintendo games are shit, the only good thing Nintendo ever did was give Sony a reason to start making games.
>>
>>343279434
? I was agreeing??
>>
>>343279561
of course senpai :^)
>>
The autistic fanbase that tries to shove that game down everyones troats is what ruined it for me. I tried it because it was "goty aty" and everone hyped the shit out of it. I tried to like it but it just felt pretty average to me.
>>
>>343279276
>the story was laughably bad

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought this. I was basically able to call every single plot point casually miles before the game revealed it, it was pretty funny

>Sarah dying is completely obvious to anyone with a brain as soon as they introduce her
>Ellie is initially cold to Joel but wow I bet across this long journey they will warm up to each other
>tough partner lady sacrificing herself later on to raise the stakes is obvious as fuck too
>Ellie obviously being very important because there's no way the game was just about transporting a kid she has to be "the cure" or whatever that every zombie movie has already done before
>Joel choosing her at the end was only a surprise to literal retards

I WOULD HAVE LIKED A SURPRISE IN YOUR STORY NAUGHTY DOG

At least the Multiplayer was fucking awesome though
>>
>>343278945
The MPLAYER was godteir though you can't lie that it was bad
>>
>>343279647
The MP was pretty good though, forgot to add.
>>
>>343279680

>story needs a surprise/twist to be good

The praise it gets is for how out managed the relationship between Joel, Ellie and the player, you try-hard. I'll admit the story was not mind-blowing, then again, who ever said it was supposed to be? It was standard action movie stuff with focus on a bond you see on screen in real time the deeper shit they survive. You are objectively a moron.

how *it managed

More like super shit

Why do people hate this game so much, i thought it was a good one-time ride. I'm still surprised it managed to stick out considering the audience was sick of zombie apocalypse games when this came out

This has to be the game with the most human characters i've ever seen

Game is very simple too
>>
It's an experience more than a game, but it's a good experience.

i think most of the people who liked it have little to no experience in stealth games. if you've played stealth games before, TLoU offers no challenge whatsoever. the whole game feels like a tutorial level.
>>
>>343278945
It was an okay game. Not the messiah of video games media made it out to be, but just okay. Now the multiplayer, that shit was fun as balls. Fucking intense, too.
>>
>>343281284
>flag isnt a goldface
>>
>>343281208
>good one-time ride
You're not kidding. Trying to play it again is true suffering.
>>
>>343281890
Why would you replay a game whose main focus is the story?

It's the problem with a lot of AAA titles coming out recently that have so little replay value it makes me want to gift the game to someone because i know i won't touch it ever again
>>
>>343279060
What's so generic about it? That it is a TPS featuring humans who fire guns at eachother? That it has infected? At least the zombies don't spawn in big hordes and die like they're made of paper. Having a few common, generic elements as part of the foundation of a game does not make it bad
>>
A lot of /v/ didn't fall for the hype.

This whole games as art/Citizen Kane of gaming/strong female bullshit was just marketing. A way of attracting free publicity and selling more copies to older gamers.
