It's the same setting, and it takes place after the events of Nehrim. Having watched the launch trailer for Enderal, I didn't see any connections to Nehrim other than the name Arantheal. Apparently you don't have to have played Nehrim to understand Enderal; I've heard it won't really involve a lot of Nehrim's events. It's probably comparable to the TES games in terms of how much impact the previous game's plot has on the current one.
Can these total conversions be played without fucking up my current Skyrim/Oblivion playthroughs? I really just don't want to have to delete and turn off mods and shit.

Does this have new assets for towns, armors, etc.? For me the problem with Nehrim was that it reused so many of the Oblivion assets, so it kinda felt like a B-movie reusing set props from a higher-budget film

Arktwend definitely takes place in the same universe as Nehrim and Enderal. I haven't played it, but I've heard it isn't as good as Nehrim. I don't know about Myar Aranath, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't in that universe as well. Of course, if you can't read German, you can't really play Myar Aranath anyway.
