No, the fact the autos are actually fucking useful in 5 is the best part. The skillgap on the AR just needs to be higher. Lower bodyshot damage, bring back the headshot bonus on shields it had back from the beta. This way people who spray get punished and people who burst and can get consistent headshots get rewarded.
The pistol is balanced fine. if anything i'd say it should take 1 less shot to kill but fire 10% faster.

There's no loadouts, there's no armor abilities. There's a high base movement speed without sprint, so sprint really doesn't actually change how the game is played, which is still like Halo. The campaign was honestly fantastic. You should have played it. Firefight was at it's best here as well. Reach makes the player too powerful for this mode. In ODST the levels were better for it and the player wasn't too over powered. I actually saw some of the game a few days ago for a nostalgia trip and I forgot how good the campaign was. Maybe not better than the previous games but it's definitely really fun with good levels. Also there's this cool flood in firefight mod I checked out.

I vehemently disagree. Halo 5 has the best core gameplay the series has had since at least halo 2, if not period. The gunplay feels great, the weapon balance is unquestionably the best the series has had, the new movement mechanics are well executed without making it feel not halo, the map design is good with a focus on vertacality and skillpathways, warzone is suprisingly fun, etc.
There's plenty halo 5 did wrong, but the core gameplay and game design is not one of them.

I already acknowledged that the lack of content at launch and no local play are very valid criticisms and are a pretty big deal.
Personally, I don't think Halo 5 would have been worth buying at launch for most people, and I told my friends who asked me about it if it was good to wait till around now to get it so that way it would actually have all the shit it should have had at launch.
Anyways, I'm hoping 343 learned their lesson again: Halo 4 had shitastatic MP, and Halo 5 had great MP, so hopefully Halo 6 will have an actually good campaign and will launch with the shit it should without them going back and fucking up everything they got right with 5's gameplay.
