What games do necromancers right? I want to enjoy them but there's always something like terrible AI or low summon caps that ruin them.
>>
>>343212056
Dwarf Fortress Adventure Mode allows you to have as many living corpses as you want, but you have to take a book from a tower guarded EXTREMELY heavily by zombies and other necromancers

I feel bad that you fags now have to avoid things you like for fear of being called "edgy".

I like whatever the hell I want. I do whatever the hell I want. Life is good!
>>
>>343211807

Assassins are shit, much more fun to just fight someone head on.

Necromancers though, that's some good shit, too bad most fucking games fuck up necromancers so bad.

Fucking skyrims necromancy is worthless.
>>
>>343211807
necromancers don't have to be edgy, just crazy fun villains who like having zombies to do their work for them

Assassins on the other hand, I've rarely seen them not be total edgelords
>>
Fuck off. Necromancers or any class based off minions are usually a ton of fun

Too bad DF is so horribly optimized you can never really build an undead army without slowing your game down to a crawl.
>>
>mfw resting on a cushy chair carried by skeletons while getting them to kill the heroes for me
>>
>>343212608

How would that even work?

And dont say reviving a skeletal assassin to do it for you, because that still only counts as normal necromancy, you're not the assassin yourself.
>>
>>343212648
I've had about 130 corpses following me around on only an i3. Not really that slowy-downy

>tfw no game where you play as a necromancer on a mission to become a lich

Which is better?

Nercromancer or warlock?

For the sake of discussion, assume necromancers specialize in summoning swarms of low-ranking undead (zombies, skeletons, skeletal mages at best), and warlocks summon mid to high tier demons in small numbers.

Hoards of small units vs. a handful of hulking shitpushers
>>
>>343212992
I'd say quantity > quality simply because fighting a horde of shitters can be harder than one competent enemy in the right situation
>>
>>343212910
Or just playing a lich in general.
>>
>>343212992
Going by your assumption, Necromancers are better.

Your undead minions are YOUR undead minions. You give them unlife, you control them. They serve you.
The Warlock's demons are merely bound by magic or contract. They are still their own creature and they will fuck you up the second they get the chance.

You need to be able to trust your minions.
>>
>>343212992
They both have their moments. I've had a love of Necromancers ever since D2 and swarming with so many skellingtons that it would slow computers at the time to a crawl.

Of course summoning a single high Tier demon and letting him do your dirty work is great too.

This one is extra funny to me because my first character ended up slipping into stealth archery entirely naturally as I progressed.
I guess with how OP they made it I'm not alone.

If I were a necromancer, I would pay people for the right to their corpse after they die. Best way to be a necromancer without getting hunted.
Put them to work in heavy labour. Maybe use them as a militia to defend the local area. Would put helmets on them so people didn't get put off by seeing their dead grandmother marching in formation with a dozen skeletons.

As a guy who plays assassins, I fucking hate being grouped in with the edgelords kids who just want an excuse to kill everything.

You're not a good assassin unless you can keep collateral damage to a minimum. Being smart enough to kill a target while leaving everything else untouched is a ton of fun.
>>
Are there any RPGs that let you play an assassin character?

I can't find any honestly. I thought I'd make an assassin type character when I first started Baulder's Gate but you end up getting a top tier thief ally early on that pretty much makes it redundant and it feels like a waste.

I just want a game that let's me sneak up on enemies with a dagger for that backstab stealth attack.

Help.

Why won't this fucking battleaxe just consign herself to a peaceful rest in the afterlife?!? What the fuck is her problem guys?
>>
>>343213278
The vanishing of Ethan Carter somewhat does that, except that you can see ghosts or some shit

didn't get far, the game was too much for my computer and it was a bit boring

really pretty though

That's what made the dark brotherhood questline in oblivion so good. You were encouraged to do the task as cleanly and precisely as possible.

My favorite mission was the "Whodunit" mansion. It was SO much fun pitting people against each other while being the actual murderer.

Come to think of it, can't you even finish it without barely killing anyone yourself?

When did Necromancers get lumped into that category?

I like necros, they
re great guys.
>>
How could someone make a 'perfect' necromancer class?

I immediately gravitate to drain life from plants/creatures and controlling an army of skellies/flesh golems but I hear 3.5 DnD has necromancy as something completely different than that.
