Pretty much this. If a mother can lift a car to save their child, a person who watched their hometown burn and their best friend and possible love interest get "murdered" (Im pretty sure Sephiroth didn't give her a fatal wound on purpose, either because he was being told by Jenova that Tifa would be integral to the scheme she was hatching or because at this point he still wasn't corrupted enough and had remnants of his old self) should be able to pull this off.
And whats with this trained killer stabbing people in their stomachs? If Cloud hadn't have drowned Aerith she would have survived just like himself and Tifa

Not him, but aren't every shinra troops supposed to be infused/injected with jenova cells? Only a few that manage to actually awaken/fused with the cells properly gets promoted into soldier. Zack and Cloud was used by Hojo to create another Sephiroth by exposing them to high levels of Mako. In other words, Cloud is a late bloomer.

Absolutely not. You have to pass a number of compatibility tests to make it into SOLDIER and get your enhancements, and Cloud actually flunked those tests. The Sephiroth clones also received Sephiroth's cells directly, not just Mako or simple Jenova cells.

The infamously incompetent English localization strikes again. They're actually called Sephiroth Copies in Japanese, which makes the whole thing a great deal less confusing. They weren't clones in the real sense; Hojo was just trying to copy Sephiroth traits, not reproduce his genetic material.

Cloud wins because he willed it. The spirit is stronger than the flesh, and Cloud's spirit overwhelms Sephiroth who relied on his scientifically strenghtened body. The whole game is about spiritual shit, it's that subtle.
