Kat is cute. CUTE!
And shits in her kitty's sand box.
The madman
>Kat just straight up murders a dude in the E3 trailer

Is this fanart or in-game? Because if it's the latter, I'm kinda glad I didn't get this the other day
I'm expecting a late December release. Technically 2016 but might as well be 2017.

What a monster
>>343108304
Think it's in-game. Not the Remaster though.
>>343108647
This looks better but still somewhat off, for some reason. The OP image straight up hurts my eyes.
>>343108334
That's my hope, too. And if it isn't a December release, god help it. Because once February hits, a tsunami of games hit.

The city is always full of people getting attacked by monsters, and Kat has gravity powers which affects the civilians too.

Also this has some minor story spoilers if anybody is interested into doing GR2 completely blind
Just beat this fucking gem.
One of the best new IPs in the last 10-15 years easily.
The only major flaw is that you can't turn off the motion controls which got annoying when you accidentally moved around too much and fucked up the camera.
Also how come no one ever posts the other cute girls? Like the blue haired cutie who almost kissed Kat? All the threads I've seen of GR I've never seen her or Wasp posted.
nobody fucking cares about gravity rush. a cute girl in a fucking slutty halloween costume does not equate to anything good
these threads are short lived for a reason
>>343116767
We talking about spooky boogie here?
>>343116891
Yeah
>>343116782
Or because it's a short game without much substance. You can't really fault the game considering it's a port of a handheld title. It's still fresh and unique and floating around is hella fun
>>343116782
It's a really good game. Just not one that promotes discussion.
Not to mention it was a vita exclusive for years.
>>343116951
And you can probably count all the art of Yunica on your fingers and toes. Old god little girl even less than that.
>tfw you fell for the Gravity Rush meme
I bought the first one after almost universal praise on /v/ and it was an extremely mediocre game as soon as dicking around with the gravity got old. Not even shitposting, I thought it was a 6.5/10 at best.
>>343110820
>>343113038
They're fiiiine.
Narratively speaking that is. I think it's safe to assume they just get flung back up somehow, similar to how Dusty's always flinging Kat back if she gets too close to the storm.
>>343116767
Definitely one of my favorite new IPs of this gen. I do really hope the sequel carries all the comfy and fun that first one did.
>>343116767
>who almost kissed Kat
I don't recall that.
>>343116782
You sound perturbed, friend.
>>343117383
My PS4 isn't connected to the internet so I can upload a screenshot, but there's one panel where they're face to face as Kat is getting up and their faces are about three inches away, make it look like they're about to kiss.
>>343117383
>>343117060
>It's a really good game. Just not one that promotes discussion.
I've had a few interesting GR discussions here.
The story's all over the place, but there are some interesting things to interpret about it.

>>343117586

Even the expression on their faces makes it seem like they're going to do it.
>>343117956
>It's been out for 4 years, fucking secondary cancer
Yes, like I said within the last 10-15, you fucking retard. I actually bought a vita for it but just never beat it.
>>343117959
They definitely will
>>343117337
It's hard to describe why, but it really is one of the more charming games I've played in the last few years.
The soundtrack, the likable protagonist, the colorful environment with a creative way to explore it. The fact that Kat takes what could have been an angsty mission about her homelessness and turns it into a chance to decorate a sewer pipe. It was great.
>Kat will probably fall for a dude again even though she's surrounded by eligible female love interests
It hurts bros
>>343118809
The music was the best. So glad we're getting the same guy back for 2.
And traversing as Kat is so much fun. I understand how some people don't like that it gets twitchy with the motion controls but I loved how much more I could do by maxing out the sensitivity.
>>343118809

>>343118809
And it does it well by bringing in a number of things together. More than the sum of its parts type thing. Really giving itself a personality unlike other IP that seemed too much like another franchise. Anons are right that it has a small fanbase and is a small, sales wise, title, but it stands out well. I'm staying cautiously optimistic that the sequel can recapture that same feeling on PS4's hardware for a home console type experience. 4 years on, you can see the original aging a bit.
>>343119345
Flying with gravity powers is a one way ticket to ralph town. That would take a lot of getting used to. You probably would need to get fit as fuck too to not just pass out.
>>343119138
Be a superhero.
Gravity is one of my favorite types of powers, it's nice to see it finally get a game it deserves.
>>343119476
The comic style cutscenes were a good choice. I love these in pretty much every game that has them, glad they're returning for the sequel.

>>343119174
Kat is not for lewds.
>>343119847
Much better.
>>343119476
why is Kat somodest?
One of my favorite things about Gravity Rush is how some of the missions became so dreamlike as things went on.
A lot of games that relate to dreams are just about nightmares, but in GR the sequences like falling down the pillar and walking through the M.C. Escher hallway to Gade's home were just good at feeling otherworldly.
>>343119847
Far better.
No shame in losing to Raven, and they're good for each other.
If Kat picked me over some random student though, that's painful.
>>343119730
The art was really good and cute too.
giantess Kat when?
>>343119816
>and then the accordion comes in
>and then that mysterious organ shit later
Fuck I'm so ready for more of this. Just that 2 minutes of music shifts moods so many times.
>>343119950
I noticed she always takes compliments to heart, I would compliment her tons to make her feel good.
>>343119980
I need more of that mysterious bullshit. I need it real bad. Reveal the secrets of the world to me only for it to make even less sense.
Playing through the game I couldn't believe it was capable on a vita.
Also I hope the sequel does some work to make Sea Wasp less unlikable.
Funny, my copy of Remaster arrived yesterday and I sunk a good 5-6 hours into it. Having only played the vita version a little I can say this game is comfy as fuck. Can't wait for 2.
>>343120162
Careful. Her "biggest fan" just made things awkward.
>>343120467
Can't even blame him.
If you saw Kat would you just ignore her and go "eh I'll catch her on a chiller day" or be like "oh shit this could be my one chance I need to talk to her"
>>343120190
Seconded. I don't expect the Creator's exact role in things to have any concrete explanation. And that's part of what makes the world interesting.
Though an explanation for Alias would be nice. And why all the kids on the Ark checked out.
>>343120735
My theory is each pillar/city is the dream of some divine being. The divine being is represented in-dream as the creator.
Something happened that caused pillars/dreams to mix and match, so that's why we have two creators on one pillar.
Also Kat is possibly a creator.
>>343120562
>Telling her that she's done for the city is genuinely amazing
Cool.
>Resorting to bomb threats and dressing up as a ghost from her past in order to draw her out.
Just a tad too far.
>>343121053
>Someone dons a villain persona just to talk to and spend time with Kat as she tries to stop him
This would make a great side quest
>>343120562
Kat's the sort that a simple passing "Thanks for all you've done" would make her day. That's the least you could do.
>>343108006
Is this yuri?
>>343121168
They already did that though.
>>343121318
Did they?
>>343121224
Not really. Those two were just barely on speaking terms by the end of the first game. They seem like somewhat normal friends by the beginning of 2 though.
>>343121436
There was the schoolboy that pretended to be Alias so he could be with Kat.
>>343120931
Yeah, I didn't know whether Gade and Cyanea were on an equal level, or if its implied that Cyanea dreamt up Kat's universe/plane of existence while Gade just created Hekseville.
The Shifters origins being somehow connected to the creators makes sense though, considering how Gade reaches out to them.
>>343120285
>Playing through the game I couldn't believe it was capable on a vita.
That was something I felt, too. A game like this on a handheld. Now that it's on the PS4, I wonder if it'll still be able to wow.
too it was originally just a tech demo for the vita
I never actually tried it but can you just fly between the different areas rather than riding the train? I don't see why you wouldn't be able to seeing as riding the train doesn't lock you in place and there isn't any loading screens or anything.
>>343121168
>>343121436
It was a side-quest in the Remastered edition, but I believe it was DLC on the original Vita release.
Along with teaming up with the military and finding part-time work as a maid.
>>343121798
Oh yeah I forgot, that was one of the bike gang missions wasn't it?
>>343121495
>There was the schoolboy that pretended to be Alias so he could be with Kat.
Wait what?
I have a horrible memory so I could be forgetting, but could I have missed it? Was it some side thing?
>>343121594
I think Gade is responsible for the Hekseville pillar while Cyanea just created some other pillar we haven't seen yet. It could be that creators are weaker if they're outside their own pillar.
Also it's possibly shifters are like some sort of heralds/guardians of the creators.
>>343121798
Wow I can't believe I missed it, I always had my eye out for side shit.
I got all the costumes too so I thought i got em all
>>343121775
Yes easily.
>>343108142
i'd watch her poop in a sand box while touching myself
>>343121624
>I wonder if it'll still be able to wow.
Looks like they're making use of the updated hardware.
There'll always be those who gripe about stylized graphics though.
>>343122039
The game looks absolutely fucking beautiful to me. I'm so happy how clear and crisp it looks now without that sorta green tint/haze the first one has.
>>343122039
I think it looks fucking fabulous myself. I just hope her face doesn't snap between the various moods like it did before and have more than like 2 frames of animation per second.
>>343121939
>while Cyanea just created some other pillar we haven't seen yet.
There's always a creator.
There's always a pillar.

It's pretty repetitive. Best thing it has is character design. Maybe 2 will be more varied.
>>343117240
>I thought it was a 6.5/10 at best
That's actually a pretty fair score. I love the game, but I understand it has some glaring flaws. I'm hoping the sequel fixes them. It's looking promising so far.
>>343117240
It's one of those games where it's just average if you can't look past the simple combat and surface mechanics of exploration.
Need to appreciate the atmosphere and the like to overlook some of the obvious flaws.
>>343125179
What flaws really?
>>343113054
I guess you didn't understand my post, right? Sure, you can use your powers out of your will on the civilians however you want, but this is in a trailer, and it's probably safe to assume that it's "ok" to knock these guys off into the abyss.
>>343125737
The lack of varied combat. I think I only really used the gravity slide and gravity kick to defeat enemies. Then after I upgraded all of her special abilities I only really used 2 of them. I'd lose control of the spiral attack so I didn't bother using it as much.
Then after you play through the game there's not much else to do. And the story was kind of all over the place.
Plus there really wasn't much enemy variety. And the color palette of the world is kinda bland. All things the sequel seems to fix.
>>343117264
You can kill kids?
Can someone please post the dog webm? Where Kat knocks over the dog? Please! I know someone has it
>>343125737
Different anon, but I wouldn't say GR was without flaws either.
>Using the gravity kick to fight 90% of every battle can get tedious
>picking things up with gravity field was more trouble than it was worth
>Only a handful of side-quests
>the lack of closure on nearly every cliffhanger
Still loved the game, but I'm glad there's a sequel to build off of what the first game did right while having the chance to improve on other things.
