Do I think it will lose a portion of its player base due to it having casual elements from Battlefront? Yes. Do I think it will lose even more players after a few months goes by and people will go back to BF4 because they wanted a WW2 setting, not WW1. Definitely. The game will still sell a shit load though, so it won't flop. I suspect after 6 months BF1 and BF4 will have a similar player count which is good for 4 (being out for over 3 years at that point), but not for 1.
Bonus: Do I think these COD kids hopping on the Infinite Warfare hate bandwagon and buying BF1 as a ''protest'' against COD will wind up hating the game and wasting their money? Definitely. They will then buy Infinite Warfare when it comes out a few weeks later, even after downvoting every IW video that released/will release this year and trash talking it not stop lmao.
