Average smash Match can last 8 minutes.
Most fighting game matches rarely last longer than 3 and can last a maximum of 5 minutes assuming all rounds end in timeout and each players wins at lest one.
Not ot mention Smash attracts a much wider crowd who mostly ironically don't care about Fighting games other than smash.
And most of them are cringe nitnedno fans.
So you have a large crowd of people some of which can be quite obnoxious who take up space only care about one game in a multi game competition and the same game takes up more time per match.

I think evo just needs to make an entire day dedicated to smash and Nintendo games in general so that all smash fans can play there game and then levee and not bother fans of other games.
