Nethack is a very oldschool roguelike, expect to die a LOT until you get the hang of the game

253 hours in FTL, one of my favorite games.
Nothing more fucking annoying than when people call it a roguelike. You wouldn't call street fighter a strategy game even though it takes strategy to win. You don't call a tactical spaceship sim a roguelike just because it features permadeath.
Rogue Legacy is ultra fun I am NG+5 and I hope cellar door will do a Rogue Legacy 2 or add Contents ,like more miniboss ,more class or more upgrade

Takes a lot of getting used to and the game in general is really confusing at first
I just recently restarted but as a golem pianist. Thought the idea was fun and that way I could carry my piano in between towns

Something always goes wrong. I either get jack shit on the way to it, don't get a single repair after fighting it or something stupid happens. Last time thet I tried the base spawned too far to the right and the game gave me no time to heal. Fuck it.

It's not a roguelike because it's not like Rogue.
Roguelike in definition means turn based rpg with permadeath and procedurally generated world.
Games like FTL and Spelunky are called roguelite
