I have the HEV suit, but every time I go up to the ocular scanner and press E it tells me "Access denied." I've gone into every single room on this map and talked to every single fucking scientist and there's nowhere else I can go.
Is my game glitched or some shit? What's going on?

Anyway, the only ground-breakish bug I found was that one fucking vortigaunt didn't de-spawn in the reactor explosion sequence (when you shove the crystal inside). The bastard would immediately shoot my face for 40 damage as I ran to the door, unarmed.
Also, broken animations. Like guys standing still and suddenly exploding near vents (the original animation is those guys being sucked into the vent)

This. I've played and beaten both versions. The only thing the Source version does better is shit like water, shadows, etc. I don't remember having this many issues with the Source version, but there's still no real reason to play it over the original.

The ragdolls are vastly inferior to their HL2 implementation and actually look worse than the HL1 death animations.
The fancy water and shadows aren't worth it over the fuckton of bugs that Source version has.
You can't use sharp textures in Source either.
