Is this game worth playing now on the PC? How's the optimization in 2016?
It runs fine, they patched all that shit up. There was only controversy because as usual, game devs are lazy Jews that find it perfectly acceptable to release unfinished products to meet deadlines.
It still runs like shit.
Ubi has not done shit to it since early '15, I think

Would it run on this ?
I kinda want to play an AC game, but I've already played BF. I'm digging the setting mostly.
>>342973630
it will run fine
>>342973630
Of course it'll run. The issue is whether you'll be able to get a consistent 60 fps at max settings at 1080p. I'm not sure if it will get that
>>342973834
>>342973769
Is it worth 15€ in your opinions mates ?
You're not going to gain anything from playing it if you played ac2 and brotherhood.
>>342973984
I thought it was extremely frustrating and often tedious, so I'd have to say no. It's not worth playing. Then again, I went for 100% completion.
>>342974010
Copy-pasted gameplay ?
>playing Assassins Creed II for the first last week
>17 hours in
>"I don't know why people hate Uplay so much, it is just another copy of steam"
>lose my save game
>"Oh, now I understand"
I don't know if I am mad or sad, but I will never play another Ubisoft game again.
>>342973984
For Elise? Yes.
>>342974242
No, the gameplay is massively improved over the wooden shit in AC2/Brotherhood
>>342974220
>I thought it was extremely frustrating and often tedious, so I'd have to say no. It's not worth playing. Then again, I went for 100% completion.
Just like every other AC then, getting those plums in 2 was the most annoying shit ever, even with a guide.
>>342974317
>buy ac2 on steam
>log in to uplay to play your game you own and paid money for and has steam drm already
never again.
>>342974492
In what way, also how's the variety of weapons?
In most of the ACs is sword, big sword, gimmick.
>>342974317
I've never lost a save game with Uplay.
Then again, I've never run AC 2 on it.

Fighting is totally different in Unity. You can't just parry and then chain instakills against everybody. Parry only serves as a block rather letting you counter afterwards. Enemies block a lot more and have a lot more life (although with stronger weapons you can kill them a bit faster). And you can't just use a human shield against shooters. Guns are actually a threat and every enemy has them, so if you get caught you get blown the fuck out. Also, even with max health and armor you still die pretty fast.
>>342975184And then they fucked that up with Syndicate
I miss the "walking armory" setup that Ezio had going on. He was a swiss army knife where Arno is a switchblade.
>>342974242
Combat was redone enough to make more dangerous from the get-go and better encourages stealth, definitely more of a learning curve if you came straight from AC4 or Rogue.
Removed:
>constant blocking
>instant-kill counters
>chain kill streaking
You feel like a cornered animal when threatened by large groups of enemies now, instead of a berserking pirate. Your special equipment is more unique with lower ammo too so you have to be more judicious - since in Rogue you had dart and grenade versions of everything, etc.
>>342975407
agreed
Syndicate made a bunch of dumb changes to the combat.
>>342973630
you should get 60fps maxed at 1080p i think.
>>342973984
Its only AC game i bought and i played them all.
Unity and BF are the only ones i'd pay money.
Eziofags can fuck off.
Gameplay over story and BF had better story and characters.
>>342975184
>>342975635
>>342975729
So it's actually challenging?
>>342975729
The many-hit combo thing won't come back, I assume. They just did that to be authentic to the british streetfighting style.
>>342975881
Yes
Average as fuck. Combat is better than the other Asscreeds, it looks good in some places and that's it.
>>342972765
>Jews that find it perfectly acceptable to release unfinished products to meet deadlines.
What made this worse was the game was unfinished but of course it had perfectly functional microtransactions
OP here, I hope this wont suck
>>342976805
why did you make the thread if you were going to ignore the warnings anyway?
>>342976957
Some people said it was decent. Also the refund system exist if I really fuck up.
>>342977237
I was also pondering if to get Unity. Mostly for the fact I heard it takes place entirely within the animus. No modern day bs.
>>342977580
The combat is more challenging but the buildings are far apart which makes parkour less interesting than it was in ACII to me.
There's also some janky animation shit, look at how the momentum is fucked up in long jumps, you clearly jump faster than you run. I also think the layout of the rooftops isn't very fun to climb, it's full of ridges and windows that are annoying to travel around. Simple flat rooftops worked best.
>>342978282
Aww, bugger, glad to hear the combat has finally been made more complex than counter/kill. Does Syndicate keep this?
Funny thing is I'm surprised they never did a game in France instead of what they did for AC 3.
>>342978382
Syndicate completely reverses the combat.
>>342978282
dont see any problem here
and as someone who played all AC games Unity has the best movement
After Unity pre-AC3 games are literally unplayable with that shit-tier parkour/movement.
>>342978873
So all that progress and they shit on it?
>>342979284
yes
Unity is supposedly bad and Syndicate is awesome for fixing Unity's problem and being an optimized game
i find it fucking hilarious people legit say that Syndicate is optimized meanwhile they literally just downgraded Unity's graphics, draw distance and every detail, and took out 80% of the npc AI so we are back at AC2 level instead of hundreds like in Unity.
Thank based consoles and potatopc poorfags.
