If I were to play snatcher for the first time, what is the best way to experience it?
Apart from buying a $500 dollar copy off ebay, whats the best version playable on pc?
Is it worth my time or is it all hype?
SEGA cd has better soundtrack, PC version has better visuals

Too many versions for me to give you a straight answer. Sega CD was my first playthrough, but if you really NEED to sniff that child's panties, look elsewhere.

Emulating the MSX version will probably make you angry if you're not a really patient version
Emulators emulate the loadings as well as the slow text appearing on screen and that's annoying
SEGA CD version is pretty well polished, has voice acting and the soundtrack has more bass and sounds overall more 80's style so I'd definitely reccomend that one
Sega version should have some censorship on gore and nudity

I didn't get very far with the game, but it froze at a very early scene and I had to find a different ISO for it to work. Not sure if it's something that happens later in the game, too.

Yeah it's very good and smooth
I personally like the soundtrack mroe even though the classic "Creeping silence" sounds a bit worse than the original
Overall the game is impossibly comfy and I swear I wish I could replay it for the first time because it's incredibly good

Sega CD had voice acting, better graphics and you got an extra chapter. Don't go the MSX route it sucks ass.
If you're not memeing and are actually serious, buy a sega cd and burn it, there is is no copyright protection on sega cd stuff.
Or just do what everyone else does and get an emulator.

I was planning on emulating it. My retro collection is mainly just genesis titles and I had all my rare games stolen out of my house, so nothing really worth money except gotcha force on gamecube
