Turians:
>Even though we have a history, humans, we understand that a much larger threat is at stake, help us and we'll pledge our full naval support for you
Quarians:
>We have a chance to finally get our homeworld back. Give us something to look forward to, something to defend, and we'll pledge our full military support to you
Krogan:
>With the help of a few Salarians, we can finally undo the genophage, help us and I think every Krogan would love to kick some Reaper ass with you
Salarians:
>If you don't doom the Krogan to extinction, we wont help you
Asari:
>Even though we made it our primary objective to erase anything Reaper related so that the entire galaxy was totally unprepared for the Reaper invasion, please help us

The galaxy would have been better off if the Asari and Salarians are kicked out of the Council, replaced by the Quarians and Krogans after the Reaper War, prove me wrong.

Pretty much every Quarian we met until ME3 was a good person being treated liked trash over something their ancestors did. I never blamed them for wanting to reclaim their home.

Both sides just needed a chance to actually communicate with each other.
>>
>>342776139
I could have sworn that the Krogan reproduced at such a rate that the genophage merely restrained their birth rate to one comparable to first world humans or something. Basically, the Krogans are mad that they aren't flooding the galaxy with bloodthirsty assholes

I was generally backing Mordin's pragmatism all throughout ME2. I was up for potentially curing the genophage, but would have liked an option to regulate it rather than completely cure it overnight.

Not that the Krogan would have been happy with the idea.

Because it was meant for a wide appeal and believe it or not the average person does, in fact, relate more to humanoid figures more closely than others. A talking animal looking thing would seem a bit silly, especially as a main character, and could be construed as a bit too fantastical despite the nature of the setting.

It's also a lot harder to convincingly design, model, and animate a totally alien form in a way that's believable or wouldn't come across as outright silly. Elcor are mostly stationary in the games for this reason, they look goofy and are kinda comic relief in many situations. The average person is retarded, and would likely not engage well if everything was totally alien altogether.

Quarians are not nearly as bad as kikes. Clearly you missed the most basic descriptions of Salarians then. They process everything incredibly quickly. Ex: After Mordin's loyalty mission, you ask how he's handling the aftermath and he comments that he went through all the various stages of grief on the shuttle ride back to Normandy.

Shorter life span but everything is still roughly proportional.

Andromeda is coming soon, they are trying to stealth-shill people back to Mass Effect again, because they think people care and that Mass Effect is still a thing.

Note, right now I just finished the whole "to cure the genophage" thing. I actually cured it because it thematically seems the right thing to do for my generally Paragon (mostly) Shep, but also because I saved Maelon's Data and have Wrex alive, meaning Mordin won't give up and you need to basically kill him...plus I hear Wrex will eventually find out anyway even if you do. So yeah, much better to have the united Krogan and Turians, if we have to lose our very model of a scientist Salarian. Furthermore, it seems that with Wrex + Eve the Krogan won't fuck up this time.

So couple of things...

I hear there will be a choice later on regarding the Geth vs Quarians and there is a way to get them both if you do enough stuff right and you have either 4/5 or a full bar of reputation to persuade them. However, one thing that bothers me is that some sources say that it is an absolute requirement to have killed the Geth Heretics instead of rewriting them back during ME2. Is this accurate? or is it just a factor involved among the others and its possible to have rewritten the Geth in ME2 and get both Geth + Quarian fleets with the "best decision"?

Lastly, I romanced Liara and did so all the way through. I romanced just Liara in ME1, kept faithful to her in ME2 by romancing nobody in the standard campaign, romanced her during LotSB ME2, and then have come to ME3 etc. I hope there's some unique payoff to this, because I hear that my other choice, Tali is NOT romance-able at all in ME3 unless you did so in 2. Everyone else including Liara, Ashley etc....is, but not Tali? What a weak decision if I wanted to do another playthrough..

If Wrex is Krogan Leader and Maelon's Data is preserved and thus Eve lives, Mordin won't be able to be convinced to give up and allow the genophage to persist, I've read. You have to shoot him to keep him from curing it for real. And even if you do, if Wrex is alive he'll find out about the deception later I hear because he's smarter than the average krogan.

If Wreav is the leader (ie Wrex is dead) and you don't save Maelon's Data (Eve dies) then you can persuade/threaten Mordin and have him realize its better off because basically the Krogan can't be controlled (Wreav is a bloodthirsty idiot, Eve not alive as a mediating force) and thus will repeat their old stupidity. However, with Wrex and/or Eve alive he'll see the possibility for them to change their ways and won't "give up" curing peacefully.

>>342784291

Is it required, or just harder? That's what I'm trying to figure out. If I can do the rest right and get both factions that would be great. It seems like a strange disqualifier but I'd have to see when I get to that point of the game. It all depends if I save edit I suppose..

>>
So consider this:

Mass Effect fields supposedly function by dropping an objects mass to such a small value that the object can travel faster than light, yes? Why didn't bioware do a 2 minute Google search before writing this, because that would tell them that as an objects mass approaches 0, it can only ever asymptotically approach the speed of light, never breaking it much less exceeding it

Also, if you shot a grain-of-sand sized bullet on the ground, it would disintegrate due to air resistance before traveling a meter, thus being quite useless.

Also, shooting "dead" rounds at distances that require several seconds to impact is idiotic because of how many degrees of freedom the enemy has to dodge it. There's a reason that planes irl use missiles instead of trying to snipe each other with .50cal bullets, and only switch to machine guns at extreme range. And those guys are limited to always going forward, which people in space wouldn't be.

Also, it makes no sense that the Quarians would all have no immune systems if they grow their own food in space habitats. If you can grow plants, you have enough biodiversity to keep enough germs around to keep your immune system up.

>>342785491
I think it fits with the theme.
Although ME3 was a complete clusterfuck, it did have a good sci-fi message about organic versus robotic.

I find Mass Effect to be one of the better example of the no aliens in space paradox. It's two paradoxes working together. Where is everyone ? and the probability of aliens existing being absolutely likely.

Every 50,000 years, there's a cycle of Reapers killing everything, meaning there's nothing in space more often than not. The ending is the Reapers explaining that they do this to merge people together because it's the only solution. The Quarians building the Geth is basically what happened so many years ago but with the robots deciding to kill everything because it wasn't perfect. Organic versus Robotic, imperfection versus perfection. The Reapers set up this cycle of destruction so robots won't destroy everything while collecting all organic life who get to a certain point.

The 4th ending is basically letting the cycle continue. I think it's a good ending that continues in junction with the other endings.

I think I might be the only one who liked the ending of ME, even if being literally the same ending was shit.

Revealing the mystery of space Cthulhu was never going to be as interesting as the mystery itself.

Honestly, I found ME3's ending tolerable after the Extended Cut and Leviathan DLC basically painted the Reapers as A.I. that misinterpreted their orders and got caught in a loop. But it was still disappointing when hoping for a fleshed out epilogue and a final confrontation meant to rival ME2's suicide mission.

>With the distraction of woman and their problems wiped out, mankind was finally able leave the solar system and build an empire that spread across the galaxy. Human females could no longer use child bearing and attractiveness to win over males. Men were now fully focused on what really mattered and what he truly wanted.

>In just 40 years, mankind saw the greatest technological advancements in the history of the world. No more women emotionally wrecking men, no more women using her vagina as a bargaining tool for frivolous things, no more feminism, no more "mai body my choice", no more "bu-but it's 20% off! I must have it!" no more sensitivity or muh feelings. Men everywhere were liberated. For the first time ever, women had to actually work their way up through skill rather than attractiveness or through children. This eventually became their downfall. Men around the world could now have their 10 robot wives do all the house work and child care, please them at any moment, and give birth to their children. All while not needing a human female.

>Oh sure, they fought back, the woman and their boytoy manginas fought back, and lost badly. Nations of the world united against the female threat and were victorious in a very short war. Woman lost the right to vote and most of them were exiled to the planet Venus (now terraformed). The women that were left in man's glorious civilization he built were either humble and cooperating wives who acted loyal to their husbands, or smart, intelligent women that could perform a normal job without filing a sexual harassment case every two seconds.

>The galaxy was at peace. Cities blossomed on many planets, populations soared to unheard of levels. Disease, poverty, hunger ceased to exist. No longer were men pressured to fight each other for pride or ego because he had everything he needed at home.

>The Turyuns
>Manliest of all the races. Men around the galaxy strive to be like their people. Didn't take shit from females and advanced the earliest out of all the races. So manly they killed off all their Jew-turyuns which resulted in a shit banking system but a mighty and powerful, disciplined military that became strongest in the galaxy.

But the protagonist of ME:A is human.
>>
I get that it was the point, but I really wish the races in mass effect had more differences between their tech. Everything is so boringly the same.
>>
>>342790226
Hahaha holy shit I'm actually impressed by how pathetic this is.
>>
>>342790074

That....that doesn't look good

>Minor races
>Inferior races which still rely on their females for reproduction and governing. Weaker, less advanced and less powerful because of this. Not allowed a seat on the council.

>The Gypsies
>Fucking gypsies in space suites. Almost as weak as the Geckonians, but lack intelligence. Pathetic as fuck, good at salvaging and hoarding shit. The Gypsies certainly tried their own FemBots, but it ended in disaster when their female population successfully suppressed fembots and nearly committed genocide against its male population. Gypsies now roam the galaxy on a flotilla of ships, conceiving only through test tubes, suffering generations of virginity. Alpha males are kidnapped, forever ensuring weaker subsequent generations. A more worse fate than being confined to a space suite they say.

>The Ujelly
>The Ujelly are an aquatic race. No one fucking gets them. No one knows for sure if they're real men or not. They don't really give an answer, and instead spew out some philosophical junk when asked. Because of this they're not allowed on the council.

>The Crowgans
>Niggers of the galaxy. Anamorphic, oversized, flightless crows with very short tempers with little to no intelligence. Known to start fights, lie, steal, cheat and hit on other species. Had to be sterilized by the Geckonians. Only the most alpha of all Crowgans could reproduce with a Crowgan female.

>Extinct Races

>The Brotheins
>A hyper-advanced race which dominated the galaxy. Mysteriously vanished over 50,000 years ago.

>"You were right anon

>"The video evidence is indisputable. What we have here are genocidal sentient beings who wish to integrate us into hybrid female zombies and ending our race. We have linked these beings as what wiped out the Brothians."

Move to a new galaxy. Which is what they did.

If you ever worry you're a failure, just remember two things. One, you're not Anthony Burch, and two, you will never fuck up so bad you have to move to a new galaxy.

It's 2016 anon. Asari aren't anorexic supermodels.

>OH SHIT HOSTILE LIFE ON THIS HERE PLANET
>Find sentient lifeforms that have created empires and shit, befriend a few, have multicultural cast of crew
>BIG PROBLEM, UH OH SOMEONE TRYNA KILL THIS GALAXY, BETTER STOP THEM BEFORE THEY COME FOR EARTH
>Cliffhanger ending with bad guy getting away, setting up for 2 more games.

I'm still open up to the idea of Andromeda being enjoyable as long as it doesn't just copy the model that Inquisition had.

I'm all for bringing back some atmospheric environments to explore, but Bioware's strength is in exploring characters and story arcs, not in endless MMO-tier side-quests.
>>
Reminder that the Asari are fucking terrible and chose species supremacy over galactic safety. THEY KNEW
>>
>>342790918
>EARTH

Not going to happen. The whole point of ME:A is being a galactic PathFinder and to find a "new earth" on a new galaxy.
>>
What if in Andromeda we end up to be Alien invaders to a species barely capable of space travel, or basically, a Cortez scenario?

then we will educate the savages. it is the human's burden.
>>
>>342791267
Did you misspell "PURGE THEM"?
>>
>>342779070
The one with the hair would have been fine. We needed another race with hair anyway.
>>
so what will the new safe planet be called?

neo-earth?
sanctuary?
new eden?
zion?
>>
>>342790226
Gay Niggers From Outer Space, pls leave
>>
>>342791267
So....another Krogan outcome. Because we saw what happens to races given toys too early

>>342791409
"Muh Safe Space."

And now we are talking

So either I missed it, or it hasn't been said yet, but with Andromeda, did they start this pilgrimage before the whole Reaper thing went down/or at least part way into it?

Like, did they all pack up some long-voyage ships to another galaxy because they weren't sure if the Reapers could be beaten, so they figured they best bet to survive was getting out of the galaxy completely?
Or does it take place after the end of 3?
