What are some RTS games with fun single player campaigns? No Blizzard games
Total Annihilation is like 2 bucks on Steam right now. Best RTS ever in my opinion.

Warhammer Total War is playable sex. Been developing a much more interesting campaign in the 3 hours I've spent on it than any campaign from hundreds of hours of Rome and Medieval II.

Dark Reign
Battle for middle earth is fun, but slow-mo clunky battles make me snore.
Comnand and Conquer up to and including Red Alert 3 all had good campaigns. Nothing after that though...

Homeworld, World in Conflict and Original War for story.
Cossacks and expansions for challenge.
C&Cs for mindless fun.
Heroes of annihilated empires is fun, it combines RTS with RPG bits.
Spellforce 1 has an amazing campaign, i have over 100hrs and i am still going, definitely worth it on a sale.
Also the dawn of war games, 1 through soulstorm for the full fun 40k experience, 2 and chaos rising if you give a fuck about spess muhreens and retribution if you want to play a fun but samey campaign with all the other races

It's one of my favorite and most replayed games. And it's less than a buck on steam right now thanks to the sale.
Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, basically a star wars reskin of age of empires, fun campaigns, air units, scenario editor and a whole campaign of Droids remove gungan. is cheap as shit too.
