You can star a level again if it isn't in your 100 most recent stars. I think the flag takes longer to disappear but I don't know when it does.

On a related note, did Nintendo change the difficulty algorithm? All of my previously "hard" levels seem to be classified as "normal" now, despite low clear %s. This one, for example:

It's something to do with attempts/deaths/number of different people who played it, but yes they did change it a while back. A level used to need like 12% to 15% for a "normal" rating. Now I think you can have one in the 7% to 10% range if enough different people play it.

He tends to make his stages a bunch of tiny rooms, but after I asked him why he did that he started wanting to make more straightforward stuff.
Also, in the first levels he made, he put the same secret in every stage. A 1-up at the very beginning of the level behind you
