Is there a size limit on bases? Can I go over the surface of the water?
I've just gotten to base building and now I realize I shouldn't have squandered all of that titanium for ingots.

They're used in vehicles and moonpools.
Advanced ingots as well, for vehicle upgrades.

You could, theoretically. A few people experienced some serious framerate loss when building a massive base in the past though.
You could put a Thermal Generator in a magma vent and link that to a surface base with Power Transmitters too.

First time I played, it was in the middle of the safe reef area. The next update it was near a massive Forest Kelp biome, next to the Crimson Grass Biome that has the Seamoth fragments. There's also a magma vent right nearby too.
Will this game get any cheaper or should I settle on -40%?

It's only going to get more expensive with full release. This is pre release prices on top of a sale, it likely won't get better
I've seen enough gameplay videos of this game to want it, but I am currently between jobs... I'm going to have to wait until the next sale, by the looks of things.
