there's really no way to cheese the bosses. EXE spam tactic is gone due to the EXE Gauge resetting to 0 after every fight.

Does this play exactly like Rebirth 1-3? I just started Rebirth 1 earlier this week after having it sit in my library for so long. I really feel like I should be hating it but I'm actuallyhaving fun. Though the actual combat feels pretty simple and shallow early on. 1-3 all look like they play exactly the same too.

It does but there are some tweaks:
*bosses have multiple health bars
*EXE gauge resets to 0 after every right
*the combo system is completely redone:
**your equipped weapon determines what combo slots are open
**you can only have one of each move in the combo
**moves have a pre-requestie that, if fulfilled, makes the move be a guaranteed critical hit (and there is a challenge that gives you SP boosts if you get enough of these conditions)
