Will there ever be a functional Xbox emulator.
Are its games destined to be lost to the ages once all units in existence stop functioning.
Hell even now some exclusives are unplayable on the 360 such as metal wolf chaos or Gunvalkirie.
Gun Valkyrie is extra annoying because it loads and gives you the illusion of working only to find out you can't beat the first stage because it's broken.
At least modding a fatbox is easy.
I really don't know... There's only a handful of exclusives worth playing so there's not a lot of demand there. I've been following some WIP emulators for a couple years ago but they don't seem to be going anywhere and can only boot a couple games at very low speeds.
Maybe once Dolphin or PCSX2 work is finished some of those folks will work on a Xbox emu.

The problem is not many bought the OG Xbox. It is true that Halo literally (overused word but in this case it is literally true) carried the entire console into relevancy. Had it not been for Halo the 360 never would have been a thing. In fact many people bought a 360 for Halo 3. It wasn't until later where people started to see more value in the Xbox brand besides Halo.

Even if the games are playable on 360, your FMVs are fucked. Nothing can emulate xbox FMVs. They always drop frames and never look as smooth as the original xbox.
