>play Dark Souls
>finally found a way to lure individual enemies out
>summoned a bud to help me get to last spot I was yesterday since new xbox live account
>he blows through the spot with magical goodness
>get ambushed by hollows and die
>come back alone
>kill hollows with vengeance
>rapier baldur knight comes
>hit him while his rapier is pointing towards me
>get parried and riposted
I ain't even mad, my own fault for being reckless and I paid for it, especially since he tried to parry and got lucky yet I ignored it. Now I know how to avoid it.
Dark Souls thread, any stories? Post builds.

Go for jumping attacks against baldur's they're unparryable

I parry jumping attacks all the time
>>342622926
I usually just dance around then until they attack, which I then roll. Or go really aggressive. Besides them holding their rapiers up, they shield is small enough to go offensive.

For npc's
>Play Dark Souls 3 for the first time
>Play a Sorcerer, pure magic atm
>Crystal Sage is resistant to magic
It's like choosing charmander. Oh well, hopefully my new Fire Mail Breaker will give me the edge when I get back from work.

>pure magic playthrough
You deserved mage scum

I heard magic wasn't very good in this game, so I thought it was the perfect time to do magic. Bloodborne tired me out of my usual dexfag build.

If they block, kick their shield. It works when they bring their rapiers up too

In my very first invasion I walked backwards off a bridge and died.
