My 2gb 6950 let me play with pretty decent settings on most games, but it fried last week and I don't really know what to replace it with since it's pretty fucking cramped in my case..

I am, had issues with my motherboard with a 370 because the bios would sperg out and bsod the system or some shit, once I updated my bios i was suddenly crash free.

Quantum Break runs like dogshit on everything. It's because it's a shit port, not because you need a better GPU.
A 980 is still a beast, there's still literally nothing you can't play in 1080p at maxed out settings on that thing. Unless you have an insatiable fetish for playing at 120fps in 4K you don't need anything better at this point.

HD6970 here and yeah I'm upgrading to the RX480 or RX470 if an unlock is possible. Often early release models are software locked.
