What a fucking disaster of a game. I'm glad it failed. Nothing is ever going to beat the perfection of Megaman 1 to 10
I finally got around to "obtaining" this game and god it's as mediocre as everyone said it was. I got 3 stages in and it was so boring I shut it off to continue shitposting here.
I think my favorite part so far was getting a boss weapon that lets me absorb enemies from a distance, only to find that it still requires you to dash, killing the entire reason you'd want to use it in the first place.

I don't think the game is going to sell all that great, considering how many backers are just getting a DRM free PC version, and how easily they can share it with their friends. The word of mouth is also spreading like wild fire, which is gonna hurt any potential sales from people who wouldn't have known any better.
At best they may break even, but that remains to be seen.

For references this is the full list of characters, most of whom have complicated relationship, certainly many pages of dialogues and running gags. Most had dramatic and development moments.
A big part of the appeal was the denisty of callbacks and interactions but at some point enough is enough, it didn't help that some of the later characters were more obnoxious and "memey" than earlier characters.

Act 6 was complete shit. It's biggest problem is length, it was wayyyyyyy too fucking long. Act 6 is about as long as Acts 1-5 combined with no payoff whatsoever.
Collide was good at best, not even half as good as Cascade (EoA5). Act 7 (The ending) was a complete fucking joke.

She's not spunky at all like the vast majority of art made indicated, she's just ridiculously robotic and speaks in a monotone.
