bump cause emulation is awesome

He says, while posting a zSNES screenshot.

It will be great when hlf the ps2 library actually fucking works on hardware mode yeah
>>
It's not how the dev intended for you to see it. You think the designer of Shadow of the Colossus even got asked whether sony could remaster his shit, when they fine tuned it to death?

>ps2 games

Give me a working fucking ps2 emulator and I will suck your dick

I don't know if it's the ISOs or the rom itself but I can never manage to run shit. I just want to fucking play persona, damn it

screenshot is b8 m8. thats why its labeled bait.jpg. everyone knows what zsnes looks like but loves to fight about why its shit, so its gets attention.

playing armored core last raven right now after going through ac2, aa, ac3, sl, and finally nexus. enjoyed all those in hardware mode and now im stuck with software. its awful.

>>342439824
Nigger at least you HAVE an emulator.

Apparently. How the fuck?

What exactly are you running, because shit doesn't work for me.

>>342439743
I don't really see where people get off shitting on freeware, especially when it's issues like "this fully featured emulator doesn't have 100% accurate emulation for 100% of its library, so I won't use it until it does, regardless of the playability of any of the games I might actually give a shit to play"

you could also just fuck off because these people do it for free, if you're really that devastated about one game in particular, you could get off your ass and fix it since PCSX2 is under the GPL (which by the way is how most of the bugs get fixed)
>>
>>342440308
not him but it worked fine for me too. I don't recall doing anything special.
>>
>>342440308
I'm not even going to tell you because the first time I emulated Persona was over six years ago on an AMD cpu and I had zero issues.

By now it's a part of nature.
>>
>>342439465
What is wrong with zsnes? I used it for the longest time. I even played my first JRPGs on it, Final Fantasy V, Chrono Trigger, and Star Ocean. I use my phone for emulations which is snes9x, and I like it, it works fine. But I really don't understand the hate for zsnes.
>>
>playing ps2 games at 6-8x res with aa/af, shader improvements
Oh fuck yes. I remember messing around with a cel-shading shader thinking it was the coolest thing ever that I could basically make any PS2 game cel-shaded.

PCSX2 man, and the newer builds run a fuckload better than they did a few years back. I play Soul Calibur III in 6x res with no noticeable slowdown on my i5/960 rig. Just have to enable the "align sprite" and "wild arms offset" checkboxes and it runs beautifully, pic related.

>SotC to look and sound acceptable
Keep in mind that SotC is one of the hardest games to run on PCSX2, and even if you ran it flawlessly it'd still play at 20fps with slowdowns since that's exactly how it ran on an actual PS2 console. Anyway, I recommend doing some googling for PCSX2 settings, especially ones that are more recent since PCSX2 has undergone a lot of improvements and changes recently. Here's a video published a year ago that walks you through the ideal SotC settings, pay special attention to the "hacks" checkboxes at 1:21. https://youtu.be/u9VrLLiycgc

Those simple checkboxes can make a massive, massive improvement in games. For example, if you try to play Soul Calibur 3 in default settings, you'll see ugly black vertical lines everywhere and awful ghosting on many stages. But simply checking the boxes labelled "sprite" and "wild arms offset" completely fixes those issues and the game runs beautifully, pic related.

PS2 games always have slight lag for me. Never dropping below 50 or so, but it's enough to make the game slow down a bit and kind of ruin it for me. I don't think it's my PC, because on the PCSX2 website a lot of games are listed as having minor slowdowns.

I play a lot of SNES/N64/PS1 games on emulators though.
>>
>>342444110
No prob man, also be absolutely sure you download the latest PCSX2 build for best performance, I'd actually recommend using the most recent dev build considering the stable builds release pretty infrequently. In fact the SC3 black vertical line issue was only fixed just last year (by enabling the "sprite" checkbox), and it was only available in the dev builds before the stable build released a few months later.

that can be fixed with EE OC.

Well shit, that's cool as fuck. Do you know if you can link to/post the settings you're using for that?

Your image says "I don't know how to fix the ghosting" but checking the box "Wild Arms Offset" should fix it, or at least reduce it significantly. Wild Arms Offset completely eliminates all ghosting in Soul Calibur 3 and a few others (and obviously the game Wild Arms, hence the name.) But props on the helpful image man.

or just the blending thing set to partial

>sound occasionally glitches to some jumpscare-tier modem dick in blender garbage

Maybe I grabbed the wrong game to play.
