It's decent enough for keeping your old ass games updated.

Yeah it's a steam alternative except all the games can be played from .exe's without launching the program, servers are really fast i get 22 mb/s downloads. It's growing really fast i won't be surprised if it becomes competition to steam soon.

Just started using it. Doesn't have as much junk as steam, works pretty great since there's really no DRM and it's more like a favorites manager for games.

My only gripe is that I had to reinstall Arcanum mods after installing this, since I had Arcanum installed and could link it back to Galaxy, and Galaxy updates games automatically unless you select manually (automatic is default which was why it overwrote Arcanum).

I love GOG, so I hope this becomes as big as Steam someday, only without the early access crap.

lol no

The only games it has is indie shit and good old games.

It's just a niche, and will always be one.

Gog will NEVER take off, because jewy devs want to use DRM

last time Gog tried to sell DRM ridden games their users threw a massive fit, because DRM-free games is the only reason anyone uses Gog in the first place

That's why there will never be anything but indie shit and dosbox crap on Gog. You'll never see DOOM 4 on Gog for instance.

Blame Bethesda

It's ok i only use it to download my gog stuff i almost never have it logged in since it's not required to actually launch anything

It'll likely come to GoG but only way later when they're done with it. Really though, if people would just up their standards and demand no DRM they wouldn't have a problem.
>>
It's a neat way to keep track of your playtime if you care about that and do pretty much everything the website does, you also don't have to use it at all even if you download the games through it, mostly just a convenient library manager and store.
I remember that they wanted to revive old multiplayer games through it but aside from AvP I don't think they did anything with it.
