Most EOP are actually aware of what is going on in the visual novel scenes. Just like most gamers know what games are releasing in japan even if they have to wait a year or two for translations. The difference being that VN readers need to wait 5-10 years for translations.

Speaking of translation, they've said it uses the same script as the original minus removal of H, so if there's a PC port, it could use the translation we already have.
