The trick with roadhog is to hold M1 down once you hook someone. It will auto fire as soon as you come out of animation and you can aim the camera upwards while pulling them in. Once you get good you'll get a feel for where the headshot sweet spot is. From there, instantly going into a melee after you shoot will instantly kill 99% of enemies. If you whiff it or the game fucks you and they somehow survive? Your alt fire finishes them up
You need to use your hook like a sniper though, don't just throw out hooks but train on your target and lead the shot a little to compensate for 20 tick
The hands down MOST important thing to know about Roadhog is that you are a tank. it is your job to sit your ass down on an objective. If you aren't on the Objective, you aren't doing your job. More often than not, the payload will give you ample cover while the tryhards on your team can run ahead and punish stragglers.

More over, Roadhog rulls people to him instead of going to his enemy so you can just dip into a building and hide away until it passes then heal up any pot shots that got you. The character I like the most is D.Va, but in-game you're almost always better off choosing Winston. She does well against Winston in a 1v1, but Reaper does better. The only real skill check for a zen player is positioning, and keeping a roadhog locked down to peek and hooks just by tossing a 40 yard orb whenever you see him is a pretty easy task

Hanzo's relatively high mobility, scattershot, and Ult make him a good flanker/skirmisher. Zenyatta can hang in the back near Widowmaker, doing cleanup for imperfect kills.

The turret itself is terrible, any amount of teamwork and 1 of the 6+ counters he has beats the turret.

hanzo is a perfectly viable DPS unit, theree have been times I've gotten top elims and top damage with hanzo. people say he's shit but i've seen people, and done work with him myself. gotta remeber his full draw shot to the body is 125 damage which is more than a junkrat bomb. 200+ to headshots and that takes out any dps hero in one shot.

Slow draw time, relatively slow projectiles, and scattershot mean that you have to get in close to skirmish in order to fully use him. Hell, his Ult works a lot better if you can get it close to the objective or down a main firing line.

Lucio is a decent rush dps. Too many people stay on heal mode and spam e all game. He has very strong tracer denial and can rush in and out solo.

Ults are an disincentive for switching, because the ult meter resets completely.
I generally only do it if my team has been switching and fucked our composition completely, or if I think I can pick a better counter for the enemy and my ult is less than 20% or so.

Just spam, zen can shoot for a long time until he has to reload, and people tend to avoid mid-range zen in general. Stick to corners and aim at average head height. Duck back around if you get hit once.

Switching characters in this game, despite all the memes, is something you shouldn't do lightly. It's a hard commitment that could fuck you over.
Having a character you prefer to play in any situation where it's reasonable is not a bad thing. For example, being really good with soldier might mean you can just legit just out snipe all of these people who switch to widowmaker only when "necessary" as opposed to someone who is a "good" widow and plays her often who will probably not give you that chance.
