I haven't played KHII since it came out. way back then, so my memory it's quite foggy, but I see people all around praising it as a masterpiece in the combat area. And, while I remember enjoying and liking it a lot, I didn't think it was that good, still really fun though.
So I want to ask, out of curiosity, what is it that makes KHII's combat so awesome? From what I've seen in videos (mostly bossfights, like that one giant heartless in the The Lion King world) it looks like it's mostly a more mobile (which is quite a good thing, while I really the original's combat, it was pretty static) and flashier, specially flashier, version of KH1's combat, whose Final Mix version I played not too long ago. So what's all the fuss about?

Because KHII Sora had a really, really good design. It looked great. The game itself was pretty shallow, but the visuals during battle were just beautiful, he just looked awesome moving around.
