Fuck Shadow of Rome. Picked it up for a few bucks recently and wanted to get my Gladiator on. So I'm cutting down people in the ring, this is great. Then it puts me cutting down barbarian scum in a forest. Okay, this is great too.
Then a forced stealth mission where you can only be hit once and die, and you have to throw clay pots at centurions. Fuck that game.

The other two I mentioned are both great games that revolve around you winning matches and looting the gear of your opponents, but no gore. The PSP game I'd recommend pretty highly, although I can see how someone might find it repetitive. It's also more or less a refined version of Colosseum.
