Absolutely tired of hearing "rumors" about this thing, and at this point I just want to know what the fuck it is one way or the other, to put an end to "insiders" who show up every day claiming to have knowledge on the thing, not realising that the thing is under such a ridiculous NDA that leaks just won't happen.
Why is it that people are so sure that there'll be a version of Sm4sh for the NX? Where did that rumor come from? It's a cool idea depending on how its handled, but it's completely unprecedented.

If you were a shitass like me and bought a Wii, you saw how barren of good games your library was because no triple-A dev wants to make their game work with fucking motion controls.

They already said they weren't going to sell the system at a loss and earlier than that Miyamoto said that the Wii U price [$350] was higher than they wanted to come in at.
So whatever they can fit in a profitable box for less than $350 and less than 50W is probably what you're looking at.

I have mixed feelings about it. I certainly don't expect them to take a loss on the system -- I wouldn't take a loss on a product if I were involved in a retail endeavor.
I'm just not sure Nintendo's ideas for fair value for the tech they are offering will quite line up with mine. There is a certain point where Nintendo's first party offerings simply don't justify the price they are charging for their second-rate hardware.

It's actually becoming increasingly common for real talents to leave big companies and start smaller ones. IGA, Sakaguchi, Itagaki, Mikami those kinds of people.
When Nintendo says they have third party support, they don't mean AC or any of that crap. They mean real games developed by really skilled developers.
