That could work. I started drawing a weird comic a while back about a post apocalyptic world but got tired after a couple pages.
It featured a monk that always smiles as the protagonist (we'd later find out that his face is just fixed that way and he's actually an emotional wreck) and an 80's fashioned yakuza assassin that failed to kill the monk and became his disciple.

Funnily enough I wanted to do a game about the opposite, where Australia becomes a nuclear power and begins aggressively annexing southeast Asia and the Pacific. A crack team of 4 elite operatives formed from the USA, Canada, Britain, and France are sent in to stop them.
The Australian forces would be loud and send wicked bantz your way as often as possible. Kangaroos would be involved, and Kangaroo mounts would be available for elite Australian soldiers: The Bushmen. Clad only in jorts, boots, a cowboy hat, and a toothy necklace, they have a modestly sized knife as their only weapon.
Aside from a shitty light-gun arcade tier game I had no idea where to go with any of it, and just dropped it.
The only reason I even had the idea was because I wanted a video game where characters say "cunt" a lot.
