Persona 1 is kind of shitty and the awful combat system is all it had going for it.
Persona 2 had a lot more wacky adventures thanks to the rumor system and the only thing to bring it up to modern persona games would be for them to speed the combat/animations up by a ton.

Nothing as long as it's not a high school sim. I was afraid of the characters in Persona 1 and IS being highschool students, but it was ignored pretty quickly, and what little highschool bits were there was fine. Haven't played SMT if yet though.

I've heard that the patch isn't that good and only restores part of the music anyway. I can read Nip, so I just played the PSX version, though the PSP version sounds like it made some nice changes, so I'm interested in it too. The music is just too good in the PSX version though.

I was actually playing around with that yesterday.
The music is too quiet, and I hate emulating games with a lot of sprites and portraits cause they always glitch up and I never know how to fix them properly.
I'll just have to accept RONE PRAYER when I replay it.
