So, what are your genuine impressions of this games after E3? My hype took a massive dip after all the coverage in E3. I've been following this games since it was announced as Versus XIII and checked the internet regularly for updates in the game. I think I was too hyped. The game looks pretty average in the E3 demos and the landscape looks really washed out. Still hyped but approaching it very steadily. I actually wouldn't mind if they delayed it another year tbqh.

Let me roll out my autistically long rant about what I like and don't like about FFXV.
>too much focus on graphics. I know they want to be "groundbreaking" but it's coming at the cost of performance, as framerate drops make Bloodborne look decent in comparison
>enemy AI seems to be very glitchy, they often wait for you to attack someone else, and it seems to not fully take advantage of a real time action game. I've rarely seen enemies mob you in numbers, or use advantages against you
>open world is boring and empty, which is a problem when you have a quest and this beautiful countryside is nothing more than a distraction and an arbitrary wait time for you to get your quest done. Same problem I had with Xenoblade and the upcoming Zelda. Making a world bigger means nothing if there's nothing fun in it
>combat is unintuitive and is the epitome of button mashing. You can mash the A button all you want, and you'll kill 99% of the trash mobs that will randomly attack you

It didn't need text boxes or a little annoying fairy partner nagging you.

Yes. Noctis gets his other suit and also has Regis's suit, the others are shown to get Kingslgaive outfits, they mentioned there will be more costumes as DLC.

Nomura left way before that, you have literally no source for that claim.
The final fantasy committee was gathered in October of 2013 to talk about the future of the series and Nomura wasn't in it, Tabata was. So even though Tabata became director in December, SE and Nomura were already planning for Tabata to take over way halfway through the year (2013).
Nomura left the project way earlier than September of 2014. Stella was still Stella in 2013. XV had planned sequels, they were scrapped when it was decided that Nomura will be moved to other projects. Stella was replaced by Luna to fit the new story. Nomura had nothing to do with FFXV after 2013.

XV was never planning sequels, only Versus was, in 2012 when Versus became XV that is when they condensed Versus and its sequels into XV as one game, that is also when Stella was changed into Luna.
That was just shit that IGN interpreted from Nomura's comments, Nomura never once said they were planning sequels for XV. He was talking about other side material like Kingsglaive, which started in 2013, and also other things that are now in XV universe such as Brotherhood, Justice Monsters V, A Kings Tale.
And in July 2013 Nomura confirmed no sequels were planned for FFXV.

It's just means that SE decided to announce it before re-revealing the game again after its one year of silence.

Tabata confirmed no such thing, he only said that when he joined they changed the direction of the project, meaning they decided to make it a mainline Final Fantasy.

Yes he did, in Gameinformer it's confirmed Stella was replaced with Luna in 2012, and we also know that is when Versus was turned to XV, and it was already stated that one of the reasons they turned Stella into Luna was because in 2012 the first thing they decided when turning Versus into XV is that XV would condense Versus and it's sequels into one game and XV would be a single game, and because of that they had to reexamine some things and felt that Stella needed to be changed which is why she was replaced with Luna. That happened in 2012.

Giant bosses can be done, but QTEs are necessary to make it feel epic. Not sure if anyone noticed but KH1 was QTE free and did big bosses just fine, Darkside and Ansems Fleet thing albiet they allow you to fly.
However in XV you can already fly basically with the warps, and the QTE is mostly just flashy the ones where you knock the hand away. The blizzard QTE comes up after you beat the titan down to a certain % and thats probably not even the end but it just adds visual flair.

If you put KH2FM Critical you would realize that you actually have to fight the boss with dodges/skill/timing to earn the QTE towards the later parts of the fight. But by that point I would say you earned it. Same thing goes for the ORG XIII members, they are exetremely hard in the Data Versions 95% gameplay and like 5% QTE just for flash.
Look at Xemnas for Example you get him to 1 hp after most of the fight and he basically forces that cutscene with the hundreds of flying lightsabers, KH team does it right.

It's mostly thanks to aerial combat and games just dont have it. All I can really think of is Bayonetta and KH when it comes to that. Other games usually have the "Climb here and stab weakspot" or "Shoot the red bumps" coming off really gimmicky.
XV has a chance to do it with later summons I hope.
