Overwatch is a shit game because its a casual pandering junk title that caters to shitters who cant aim or organize objective based gameplay.
Dirty Bomb does what Overwatch does, but it does it a million times better. Why arent you playing Dirty Bomb? Oh right, because it isnt a pop culture game published by the most horrible developer known to men. FPS always were simple, but Overwatch takes it to a new level. At least in CS and Quake you have to figure out your objectives. At least in Dirty Bomb you still have to aim. Overwatch just removes the aspect of aiming, the aspect of strategy, and fills the gaps with memes.
It's a boring game people latch onto because they're so desperate for something to replace tf2 they'll overlook any flaw until inevitably they wise up and it dies out.

Mei's wall is really useful at fucking over team pushes, if you see the entire enemy team running through a gate don't immediately block them all as that would just delay the push, let one or two of them run through and put the wall up behind them to actually disrupt it. Your team can pick off those easily, then you can take the wall down and finish the rest off. It's also pretty good if you catch a mercy pair off guard, put the wall between them and kill the mercy easily while that fat fuck roadhog is stuck behind the wall.
Mei's also incredibly irritatingly good at contesting points, you can wall yourself off in a corner to hold out as long as you can before your team respawns, and once they manage to break through the wall you can just turn into an ice block to regen health and contest the point for a another four seconds.
Also, if you get jumped and are forced into ice blocking while there are enemies just waiting to kill you, right after you're forced to get out you should instantly ice wall in front of yourself so you can run off safely. And if you can communicate with your teammates, you should help heroes like Bastion get into nice vantage points by elevating them with the wall.
whatever game /v/ won't shut up about is a game worth playing.

My 750 Ti can't handle Overwatch at all. ~20 FPS in the training area, but ~10 FPS online, even on lowest settings across the board, all I can play are chars like Torb, Mercy and Lucio, who don't really need accuracy to do well.

Blizzard games seem to always crank the shitposting dial to 11.
Overwatch is fun but I can't see myself going full autism with it like I did with quake/ut/tf2 since damage is so fucked up it's practically call of duty with how fast you can kill people
Loads of one hit and sub 1s kills that can randomly occur make the impact of skill much less.
Though it's still fun, the overall game design is atrocious due to this as kills are quick and easy to get yet every death is super important and a teamwipe is basically gamelosing which is why they made respawn timers so low.
But then you have the issue that respawn timers are so fucking low that you literally have an unending stream of enemies coming to the point to stall it on overtime.
Certain design decisions in this game are bumfuck retarded for skillful play but work out just fine for dicking around with friends and having a good time.
Overall I'd say it's great fun but not worth investing 8+ hours a day into since the payoff from skill is much lower than a proper arena shooter.
