>tfw artbook never

An far-seeing executive who knew one day this game would be the source of dank memes
I can't even remember if this game was actually good or not. Just know it was a blast as a kid sneaking into my friends' bases and nuking the shit out of them
Also the flame tank
>>342043116
This was actually a lot more fun than the GoW games it ripped off. Last boss's character design was absurd.
>>342044972
>mfw Satan's giant schlong swinging around during the fight
>went into hollywood video to rent this game
>ended up renting TESIV: Oblivion instead
I wonder if that decision changed my life
>>342043116
I really enjoyed it. Was the hate just because it was a GoW clone?
>>342043872
I forgot all about this game
>>342043116
The only things I know about this game is that it rips off GoW and that Big Dick Satan cucks you hard
RIP silicon knights
>>342044968
Dont remember the sp well but multiplayer was good, there was even a fan remake of it, but went to shit bcause of hackers, the gameplay was good though.
>>342044708
Apocalypse was pretty good 2bh
>>342045538
Was it a good GoW ripoff though?
Any anon know?
>>342045946
yes, first boss is a casual filter if you play on hard.
>>342043847
>Tfw if they did a pc release it would be on origin
>>342045946
I finished it multiple times, it had really good setting/design and fun combat. 9 Circles of hell, each circle based on a great sin and enemies/bosses designed around that sin. I love it
>>342046102
Who cares i'd just pirate it
>>342045946
it's decent. The combat is pretty broken. If you go straight Cross in the upgrade system, it's so OP you don't even need the scythe.
The art and designs are fucking phenomenal.
>>342043116
This was one of the few times where EA got both the game and the marketing campaign right. Pissing off reviewers with their antics was glorious.
>>342045381
This and DmC are prefect examples of trying too hard
>>342046403
didn't they pay a bunch of people to pretend to be christians protesting the game's release?
wrong way to start the thread, OP.
this is the official OP image
>>342046527
They did a lot of dumb stuff including mailing people brass knuckles (at least until the lawyers told them to stop), giving away gas for whatever reason, and generally trying to goad reviewers into committing a sin of some sort.
>>342046538
if you never played it, it was a mediocre Jurassic Park RTS where you stole dino eggs, hatched them, and then used them as soldiers to go kill hunters. I really liked it.
>>342044079
I actually wanted this game once.
>>342047110
I haven't Cold Stone in years, that sounds fucking delicious right now.
Came out last year
>>342043116
The game had a really bold inspiration, but ended up being so bland. It should be remade by another company.

>>342043116
We watched the trailer for this in my high school english class while we were reading The Divine Comedy.
>>342046308
Literally the only thing I remember about this game was that it looked great and was about some dude saving/avenging his girl in hell.
Renting this out with a buddy on friday night was awesome, I hope demon-ey religious games make a comeback.
BIG FLOPPY DEMON COCK
>>342046210
Nothing wrong with this
>>342046210
I remember enjoying the single player when it came out. Haven't played it since though.

The weirdest part about the Burger King games is that the original Xbox and Xbox 360 versions of the game are on the same disc, it just loads up the version for whichever console you put it in.
>>342043116
>tfw i never beat the game
I remember getting stuck at some part where i had to like destroy all the enemies in the room in one combo or something? the combo would either drop itself because it wouldnt count a hit or something.
I just stopped right there

oh, my bad.
>>342048389
>Spanish ants should recognize this
Arreglado.
>>342046232
Reused and reskinned way too many enemies and Anger, Treachery and Lake Cocytus were absolute shit levels. Rest of the game had pretty awesome art design.
>>342049146
Buen meme
>>342048894
I'm sorry but the combo never just "dropped itself" you're just complete shit.

i mean, to read what the game is about.

>>342045147
I liked it for $3.

I tried this thing 4 times because the concept was so cool, but I couldn't do it, I always dropped it on like 3rd level

I approached this game as both a lifelong gamer an a Dante enthusiast. The game was essentially released half-finished in order to beat out God of War 3, which came out the very next month. After a painfully low-quality intro sequence, the game starts out strong when you first enter Hell. As you progress, each circle gets emptier and more boring, in perfect order. Monsters like the Minotaur in Heresy or the Centaurs in Violence that could have made cool bosses or game elements appear as statues in the background. Fraud is the most egregious sin from this game. The eighth circle of Hell is arguably the most important in the poem. Dante and Virgil spend almost have of the poem there. All of the most iconic scenes from the Inferno take place in the eighth circle. In the game, the eighth circle is just an empty space. Malacoda, the most significant monster in the poem, appears as a boss, but he is the same as every other demon in the game except he is on fire. Compare this to the spectacular fight with Minos in Limbo near the beginning of the game. Then the final circle consists of nothing but an ice bridge.
It's obvious that this game was half-baked. As a result, it's legacy will be an example of how terrible video game marketing can be.

Dante's Inferno was actually a ok game from what I remember.
>>342043116
Looking back, Dante's Inferno was a pretty good game actually. I remember that firing those light crosses felt satisfying as fuck.
>>342044079
That game is extremely okayish to good. Would recommend for 10 bucks or less.
Also has an upgrade-able swearing button that works like the taunts in DMC and lets you keep up your combo.
>>342043872
honestly one of the best FPS of last gen
They also released an anime movie based on the game. Worth checking out if you haven't seen it.
