The tone needs to support this though. Having a vibe of the show where there are two kids in a colorful land where they improve their skills, make jokes and end every episode with a high five moment and then have lots of brutal killing without even flinching in the middle of this is very unsettling. We're clearly not getting a proper anime adaptation of the manga for Soul Eater at this point.
So a game going over the Book of Eibon and Fight on the Moon arcs would be great.
Hell, they could even cheap out and just make it a fighting game.
There's just so much shit from the later part of the manga that I'd want to see animated in some way, and most of it could work as form shit for a fighting game.
