Why are we staying there to watch gul'dan do green things to orcs? He doesn't give a shit about future azeroth he doesn't even know. Hell, now that things changed maybe Draenor wouldn't be destroyed and orcs wouldn't invade Azeroth. If they did well heroes of past Azeroth would do the job like they did in the normal timeline.
Why didn't anything change in Legion? Since we killed every orc that moved in the past, how come they still exist in present Azeroth and the orc invasion is still a thing?

End of War Crimes kind of gives a bit of info.
A Bronze Flight Artifact was used during the trials to create artificial set-ups of old things that happened to prove Garrish deserved death.
An Infinite agent tinkered with it and altered it to where it would overload and open a portal to a seperate Draenor with a few differences. (For example, Garrosh's mother died before his birth here.).
Doing so screwed up time a little bit and made major characters fight literally the worst versions of themselves throughout time.
Demons transcend timelines, sort of. They pop up in opportune times to cause chaos and push agendas in timelines for their own purposes, however there are rules to this.
Think of it this way; An imp gets pulled out into a timeline during the Battle for Mount Hyjal. Mount Hyjal has already happened, and changing it fucks up the timeline and causes rifts in time that, presumably, give the Infinites more power. Nobody knows who the Infinites work for, but it isn't the Legion, so the imp plays along and loses.
The Draenor we go to in WoD is a timeline close enough to ours that it remained self-sufficient and seperare without collapsing. Accessing it turned it into a seperate space entirely, which was then tethered to our Azeroth. There is no alternate Azeroth. Because it was a new space, Legion had free reign to take advantage of the situation and try to invade Azeroth.

Firstly; Azeroth is the tipping point of the fight against the Void Lords, the newer big bads. Sargeras wants to blow it up to stop them from corrupting it.
Secondly; It's a matter of just conquering things, they also have to be a bit careful to not nreak reality too much. Timelines can skew (WoD), but gigantic changes (Thrall dying in Escape from Durnholde) throw everything out of whack, even for the Legion, so just going into the past and conquering Azeroth would not only require a lot of manipulation to have them summoned, but it would also toss reality to shit.
This is why we have the Bronze Dragonflight, to ensure each timeline can keep going as needed.

They made an AMA on Twitch a couple days ago where they said that progression for Artifact Weapons gets sped up every week. Every week that passes since launch makes progression faster. And if you want to upgrade your offspec weapon, you'll have to do it at the cost of not upgrading your current one, but they'll make it so it's much faster than the first time you did it, as in, for the cost of upgrading 1 level on your mainspec weapon, you can upgrade like 5 or 6 at once for your offspec. So you trade off being the most up to date on your main spec, to have a decent offspec in case you need to switch.

The Paladin Class Hall is actually accessible on the PTR. It's small, quite a bit, and the only vendors seem to be basic Innkeep and Order Sets (110 Blue Set). And to further clarify: The Legion has been flying trough space on space carriers and some new Eredar built ships eons before the War of the Ancients (10500 or so years before this expansion). Azeroth is the only planet either not destroyed/assimilated by the Legion or bukkake tentacle raped by Old Gods.
AU Draenor was a small time bubble created when Kairoz dicked around with the Hourglass of Time. The people there are staying there to rebuild the planet since it was fucking mined and deforested by the Iron Horde and Gul'dans fuckery. ONLY AU Gul'dan is coming to our reality.
Kil'jaeden is pulling the strings and Gul'dan is trying to make the portal at the Tomb of Sargeras link permanently and directly to Argus so ALL of the Legion can come across. The shit in the Broken Shore and the Broken Isles is just a fraction of them.
And it seems Gul'dan stole Illidan's body from the Vault of the Wardens to try and unstuck Sargeras' spirit and give it a physical host on Azeroth.

The problem is Blizzard doesn't want overlap in any of the specs/classes. DH were not added into the game for this long because Blizzard felt like there was too much overlap between rogues/warlocks and DH. Blizzard probably could have put together a solid 3rd spec if they really put out the effort, but they can't spend forever thinking up another spec when they need to be pushing Legion out as soon as possible to put the abomination that is WoD behind them.

This. One of the early reasons they gave after unveiling DHs was that introducing another leather class would screw up raid loot and skew it to where too much leather dropped. They used Monks to try and test Personal Loot and when people enjoyed it more they're able to put in DHs without having to worry about loot.
