just craigslist yourself an old cobalt flux
doesn't get any better than that without buying an actual arcade machine
>>342013437
did not know about this thanks mate i'll see if i'll be able to get it
and i am very tempted to buy an actual DDR arcade machine
DDR X2 is for the low low price of $7000

Pump it up feel too damn odd for me
i personally dont see the appeal of it and plus hands down the music on DDR is simply amazing

Memes aside, it's more a question of what you grew up with. Near my school we had an arcade with pump it up.

that would explain it yeah i grew up with ddr and now i have a $2000 charger to play with

Check Craigslist and eBay often for local cabinets. Go to local arcades and inquire about thier machines. You can usually get a machine and set it up for stepmania for only 2-3k. Just gotta be persistent and a little lucky.

ok cool i'll try that one day but i also wonder if the actual metal dance pads for the arcades are connected though a USB input
>>342018365
There are interfaces used to convert arcade input to USB (J-pac is what I used). It's pretty simple and if your goal is to just play stepmania then it works perfectly.

how does the arcade input look like?
