I'll prop your broken body in view of theNew Vegas Threadso you can see what you came to steal... forever out of reach as you die
How do I use mods? I'm a totally retard and i've never used mods on a game before, but there are some I want to check out.
>there will never be an actual Fallout game ever again
How do Ilet go
>>342011110
Hope another good single player with good world building comes alongwhich will be never
Fallout 3 is better deal with it

Why did the DLC get such awful reviews? Is it worth my time?
>>342011872
>nexus mod manager
I mean I get that Mod Organizer might be too complicated if you're modding for the first time, but at least get Fallout Mod Manager, it's the same as NMM but it actually works
>>342012082
Yes absolutely. Also, be sure to play them in release order. They're all really good. Some people complain they're too linear, but I personally liked the more focused gameplay. It was a break from the expanse of the mojave.
>>342012351
I don't know you thick cunt, why don't you watch the thread and find out?
>>342012351
Yeah, but sometimes we beat a dead horse for a few posts.
>>342012082
They're all good except for Old World Blues. If you're not specced into energy weapons, have fun.
Dead Money is the best.
>>342012082
because it was too complicated for today's "NOT ENOUGH SHOOTAN TOO MUCH READING MY BRAIN HURTS REEEE" pseudo reviewers. It's good, you should play it.
>>342012082
I'm playing through Dead Money at the moment and I'm really enjoying it. Shame you can't take the NPC's back to the wasteland, I love the dialogue.
It does get a bit frustrating though, I've basically had no stimpaks for the whole DLC.
>>342012475
Old World Blues has the two best waifus though

you're so wrong it hurts.

>>342012082
Yeah, it's all great. If it got bad reviews, it's because it tried to do something different - like DM. HH is the only one that's mediocre, but still well worth playing.
>>342012412
>He doesn't know
This guy enters NV threads, invariably posts "This game is 6 years old, what is there to talk about?" and then haunts the thread for 400 posts because, in his own words, "I browse /v/ all day and I don't like having to see NV threads."
>>342012082
It's good for past level 20. There are a lot of skill checks and in general it's very difficult. Personally I think it's one of the best stories in all of gaming.

>>342012663
I'm in the same boat as him. I found the story of OWB a little too goofy for my tastes. The easter eggs referencing the other DLC's were cool though, and I liked the non-linearity.
>>342012795
>That drum magazine
How is that even supposed to work? I watched a video that disassembled one of the few existing jackhammers, and the magazine is supposed to rotate by tracing a zig-zag design with a pin. It's like this mod got the aesthetic right, but not the function. Am I missing something?
Reminder
>>342012913
I guess I can understand that, but the whole goofiness kinda served a purpose in the narrative. But I also just felt like it was a nice break from the serious stuff in the other DLCs and main game. It was a little much at times (like the stupid penis hands thing) but I enjoyed it.

>a little too goofy for my tastes.
when will this meme end?
>>342013108
Had to go independent on my playthrough because I got that bullshit glitch where I couldn't talk to Boyd.
I guess on my next one I'll just avoid House as a whole. Apparently killing him and getting involved with Yes Man even a little can trigger that.

There's fucking plenty to talk about, the game has ridiculous replay value, people love to debate about things like the factions and mods are still getting made for it
Do you also take issue with VTM:B threads? That game is over a decade old and people still discuss it here to this day

Saw some people here dicksucking the medicine stick and I decided to buy it.
Is it just mediocre, or am I missing something? I feel like I can just get better results with my Anti Materiel Rifle.

(You)
tastes vary but I don't think anyone could deny that there's a clear progression in how fleshed out the DLCs are, at least the first three. OWB feels like playing a real game

>>342012082
having only played the first three
OWB (if you're a bit goofy it's definitely worth checking out, that's what it hinges on) > HH (if you like finding everything and pieceing everything together it is really good) >> DM (for story reasons it's good to play first but I was pretty disappointed with most aspects of it tbqh)

looking forward to entereing the more serious part of an NCR playthrough playing an idealistic farm boy. I'm gonnabe overleveled as shit though- how can they say the recommended DLC level span is 10-25 when between HH, DM and half of OWB I've gone from 14 to 32?
>>342013726
Dead Money just feels like you're doing a really big, well fleshed out bit of scavenging in a massive facility. Which is by no means a bad thing, post-3 Fallout games thrive on that sort of thing.
>>342014228
Shotguns are amazing if you have the two perks for them, perfect for knocking deathclaws around like theyre nothing

I hated Old World Blues so much that it made me completely drop my playthrough for a year. I only returned to it recently and suffered my way through it.
Maybe it has something to do with there being almost no fucking ammo whatsoever for cowboy-style guns. It was one of the worst gaming experiences I've ever had.
>>342014718
Tribals are the worst part of Fallout.

Hi Todd
>Oh shit Tribals are a thing in Fallout, and we haven't included any
>fuck it, we can add some treepeople who have managed to develop an entire culture in like 5 years. Oh and they are totally pacifists despite there being raiders everywhere.
>We'll add some fruit worshipers in the next DLC to boost their numbers.
>>342014994
>cowboy ammo in high-tech science facility
>>342015449
But the Point Lookout people aren't quite tribals, they're just cliche deep south redneckery taken to its extremes.
>>342015580
I don't mean the swamp folk anon, I mean the Punja fruit worshipers inside the church.
>deep south
>it's fucking Maryland
>>342015379
is it a fun mod?
>>342014990
It's a really, REALLY shitty mod that is popular with casuals. Signature weapon mod lets you add little boosts and buffs over time to a gun of your choice, and it quickly becomes better than literally anything else you can find normally in the wasteland.
I like this sort of thing when the upgrades are spaced out, hard to reach, and have cool textures to show the modification. But when it just turns a regular 10mm into a regular-looking 10mm that shoots automatic, does more damage than the .50 cal, never misses, and has nearly unlimited ammo, it gets tiring.
>>342015823
If you like being hilariously overpowered with almost any weapon in the game, then yes
>>342015823
Sure, if you don't mind making an already easy game even easier

Signature Weapons and Signature Armor are two mods that allow you to tag an individual weapon or armor for progression. Basically it can acquire experience and level up, with each level up giving it additional perks.
Quoting the author, it's a little thing intended to make playing with a dinky razor and t-shirt more viable, but hilarious things happen if you apply it to, say, an Anti-Material Rifle
Are there any mods that let me just apply wacky stats to items/apparel/weapons without having to level up like this "signature weapon" mod mentioned in >>342016082
>>342015896
and >>342015997
>>342016589
I don't know if there's any dedicated mod for that, but I vaguely recall you being able to configure Signature Armor so it took whatever amount of EXP you wished for the next level up.
So you could setit as something like 1 EXP and then after you're done configure it back.
Signature Weapons less so since it also require a certain number of kills, I think.
This all is coming from memory, so it might be wildly innacurate.
