How do people not see that VR is literally going to be what the Wii was. Get excited about years from now when they will actually be development and people know how to make shit work. I think the Wii and VR are very similar, yet different enough to where VR will take off and eventually become standard.
VR is very precise right now and being able to move around in virtual space is a real trip. The Wii was basically limited to simplistic movements which is where the whole waggle thing came from.

Fraser was doing green screen 'facecam' before facecam was even a thing. VGA's reaction videos predate TheFineBros. They existed before any of the modern youtube facecam reaction culture. That's not to say everyone copies them inherently but they were one of the pioneers.

Only 1 person can view through a VR headset at a time and video games in general are already losing popularity to mobile games which appeal to the older and younger crowd. Let's also not forget about console which comprises a lot of sales. Not many normalfags are going to want to play CoD and Halo in VR for more than a couple hours.

Yes, VR is something you have to wear a headset for, other people can watch through a mirrored display though. And it's not like console games nowadays even support local split screen at all anymore, so they are still 1 player experiences.
Did you watch any of the E3 coverage? The huge wealthy (jewish) companies are already making VR titles. Hell, the PS4 has a VR headset coming out later this year, and Microsoft wants in on that market too, they will have a VR ready console on the market next year.
It's still not perfect, but it's not going away.

Dumping money into something doesn't automatically equal financial success, it has to be received well and adopted by the target audience first. VR has a potential niche audience. This is why people are so sketchy on it, because you can easily win an argument by saying "why would I wear goggles at 2 in the morning to play dragon age when I can just lay on the couch and stare at the screen from across the room?"
I'm not saying VR is going to flop in total, I'm saying it doesn't have a place in modern gaming and it won't for a few years until people figure out what they actually want to do with it. Lets not forget video games are a hobby to many people behind the curve and they really don't care at all but still have plenty of money for said companies.

VR is currently a niche, but PSVR has a good chance of bringing it mainstream to the common consumer given how many people already own PS4s. Sony will likely be very aggressive in marketing it once it comes out.

I think it will stay in the market, and will become mainstream within 5 years.
The way I see it is when gaming consoles were finally capable of 3D. We had a generation with awkward, funky, sometimes unnerving looking 3D and often terrible controls (N64 and Playstation) and then the next gen pretty much had it all figured out. Nowadays, most people see 2D games as "retro".
I think it's only a matter of time before people see VR games and experiences as just another part of everyday life.

You may need to enable SteamVR beta, but if you go into the settings, there should be an option to use camera for Chaperone bounds.
Obviously you need the camera enabled first.
