She's the only female companion you're forced to interact with in the main story. The canon faction is Minutemen and the canon waifu is Piper. Assuming you also save Synth Shaun, you, Piper, Nat, and Shaun would be a complete Nuclear Family.

You should've been able to create a truly neutral follower like Dogmeat but have it be a Synth instead. I don't give a shit about X6-88 or whatever that Blade ripoff was.
You had the technology right there at the institute to create a neutral companion but instead we get Blade.
I was slightly upset, could have easily have made it be the exact model you created for your spouse at the beginning of the game and just explained it as Shaun having made a Synth replica of his dead parent based off vault-tec data.
BAM! you get your true neutral waifu/husbando that you created in the start of the game and then you can choose to fuck over the institute or join them as you normally would.

It would have made sense if you choose between soldier or a lawyer, the former giving you bonuses to strength/endurance/agility, and the latter giving you bonuses to perception/charisma/intelligence. It would actually add to the roleplaying. I feel like there might have been something like that originally planned but they discarded it.
