And with the differences in combat, Bloodborne and Dark souls are two very different games, It's like comparing Dark Souls to Kings Field.

It wasn't shit but not as enjoyable as bloodborne, I think people are just a little burnt out from the souls games now desu, I think there's only so much fun you can have with a game using the same formulae over and over without getting bored.
They should have done what they did between dark souls and demons souls and have an entirely new setting and item list between each game, they can keep the item uses just change it up a little to add flavour.
I feel that's why dark souls 1 and bloodborne are the best of these games since they felt new and unexplored, you already knew what to expect of dark souls 2 and 3 going in.
At least people can still agree the second was shit and 3 was better

While they DO have variety which is good, A good chunk of those enemies are an outright pain and often not worth risking your life to kill.
Every single main story boss is fantastic, Anything chalice is cancer.

That is DS3 with Catacombs and Demon Ruins. At least the chalices are not a part of the main game and the one you create have randomness and difficulty, plus there are a lot of new bosses

In all honesty, Hexes aside pvp was at its peak with DS2, It was all actually beating on each other and fighting.

Chalices have their own set of unique enemies and bosses.
And each area in Bloodborne introduces a new enemy type. Something Dark Souls 3 doesn't.
Just look at Lothric castle, Anor Londo and Consumed King's Garden. They all rehash the same enemies.
As an idort, pc players are still mad as fuck about bloodborne. The objective rating is
Dark Souls > Bloodborne > Dark Souls 3 > Demons Souls > Dark Souls 2

I'm not denying that DS3 has awful enemy design in comparison, Some of the few designs i love are so obviously bloodborne inspired its not even funny.
And chalice is stupid because while its cool that they have their own set of bosses, The only fun fight is the Queen, All the others include 2 shotting you or getting stomped in seconds.
This game is so bad. It's for redditor and 9gaggers. Runescape takes more skill than this pile of doo doo.

It was much more popular than both DS1 and 2, had tens of thousands of players 100% it week 1, in an time where everyone watches Lets Play, Twitch and lorefag videos. The poor thing was over and done with in 3 months. Now imagine DS3 coming out when DS1 did, we'd be talking about it all year.
Long story short, the culture of video gaming has dramatically changed from 2011 to 2016. Can't have secrets in a game anymore, and can't have replayability unless you appeal to impulse and addiction.
Dont listen to the haters and dont be a revisionist, it one of the best games i've played in the past year and easily a 8/10.

Catacombs are fine anon, they don't feel randomly generated at all. Demon Ruins are shit though, but are also just as option as chalice dungeons.
