Yes and no.
For many years it was shit, it was expensive, had no games and shit online. Granted at the end of the generation, after the price drops and infrastructure improvements and some actual games being released it became the better bet but is it really fair to say a console that spent the majority of it's generation as being the worst choice is the "best".

Almost certainly. Sony have everything riding on it, they need it to be a success. Microsoft just don't seem all that interested in consoles anymore. Nintendo is fumbling around in the dark.

Pretty much all of them.
General rule of thumb is for every multiplat 360 had slightly better graphics and framerates but also screen tearing. You rarely saw screen tearing on the PS3.

Pretty much. Most multiplats ran like trash on the ps3 with missing effects and all sorts. It was a turd to develop for and the exclusives were also shit and have me no incentive to buy one. I ended up taking this guy's ps3 who owed me money and even then I still only played it like 3 times ever. Everything was so inferior compared to xbox.

In terms of exclusives, yeah, easily. I had far more memorable experiences with the ps3 than the xbox.. Saying that though, when it came to multiplats I'd always choose xbox or PC, they were god awful on ps3.

Same. I've always done Sony and Nintendo consoles, with a little PC on the side. I see a lot of cool stuff that'll be coming out for the ps4, but there's not enough stuff out currently to justify me buying one right now. I've seen a couple neat looking WiiU games, but nothing worth buying the system for either. I'll probably eventually end up getting a PS4.

The only PC games I play are ones that I can't get on my consoles, well usually anyway. I don't particularly care about how much nicer it looks on the PC or whatever, I'm more concerned with gameplay. There's just something about playing on a console I enjoy more. Anyway, there's plenty of console only games that I'd miss out on if I only played on PC. And I'm just a lazy ass when it comes to emulation, plus I'd rather support the companies of the games I enjoy playing.
