People still buy physical copies? That's idiotic, you either get a download code (on PC) or you still have to install it on your harddrive, and if your disc breaks or gets scratched you can't redownload it. You'd get hit with updates either way. Physical media nowadays only has downsides.

Not having to wait for the game to download and having less storage taken up is an advantage in my opinion. It isn't that hard to look after discs, I still have ps2 games that get played regularly and haven't had a single one go bad. I definitely agree with the re download part though, it's handy for moving around, although I like being able to bring games to my friend's houses and vice versa

The Xbox One was going to support this, but people got butthurt about not being able to share games with your friends/reselling your games and now we have this crappy future.
