This is how I'd rank them based on my own experience
You, /v/?
I'd make a tier between Good and meh that has 4 and 6
Otherwise, good list
>You, /v/?
here's your (You)
Switch the positions of 5 and 6, throw Advance into garbage tier and put DS into good tier as well.
Thats pretty much how id rank them.

Why did you put Mario Party 3 twice
And also a oh god my entire palm is a blister tier for 1
I don't even know how you guys can tell these games apart. Say for 2 because it's so good.

Seriously though, what the fuck were they thinking with that box art for Mario Party 1?
There should be a tier below meh to throw 8 in.
Is the one where Mario is holding the 3 block the cover for Mario Party 1? Cuz that's confusing as fuck.
>>341815231
Maybe they didn't expect it to take off

>>341815415
>a die

How does 2 get elder god tier?
Fully agree but curious

I think it's the most solidly designed one overall. The maps were unique without being overly gimmicky as they all worked by the same rules and the minigames are all GOAT.

Nigga
6 improves on 5 in every single way

MP1 is the original game that started off the formula and had palm destroying rotating stick minigames.
MP2 introduced items, duel minigames, the bank and rule adjustments like paying boo to steal from someone.
MP3 added game guy, action time board events, the ability to hold 3 items at once and further adjustments.
MP4 had the mini/mega gimmick for boards, the lottery was added and other adjustments.
MP5 introduced the capsule system to replace items.
MP6 refined the capsule system and added a day/night mechanic to every board as well as Mic minigames.
MP7 further changed capsules and did more with mic minigames.
MP8 introduced the candy system to replace capsules as well as adding motion control for minigames. For some reason no widescreen support?
This isnt even going over the characters added, bonus modes, secret minigames/bosses, single player, board gimmicks and the handheld titles. But thats the gist of it.MP9 and 10 are trash

The roll die, despite having 6 sides, can roll from 1-10 in Mario Party.

I actually enjoyed Mario Party 9. It was refreshing for me because I felt the games started to become the same thing over and over.
They really should revisit their old gameplay soon, though.
>>341815707
>introduced item system, still works well with the 1 item limit
>solid board selection
>great music
>excellent selection of minigames, improves returning ones and lots of new ones
>introduced duel minigames
>more Bowser events
>has the best Chance Time music
>costumes

This. 5 has some great concepts but very flawed execution.
I bet most of you didn't even unlock this.

This sums it up pretty well.
The downhill was either 7 or 8, I lean 8 cause 7 was still fun. Motion Controls just didn't fit.
hey greg

I really hate that the Wii remote remains a controller option. As long as it's around, they'll keep shoving in shitty point+press A minigames and all the others will control like ass thanks to the clunky grid movement. As if the shitty physics in the Mario Party series wasn't enough.
Honestly, I found 2 and 7 to be my favorites. 2 had the best boards and really fun minigames, and 7 kept me on my toes and still felt fresh, but the additional Bonus Stars made it a bit more luck-based. Music doesn't feel right on its own without the boards acompanying it.
