Is the Lemmings series dead? Do people even care about the games anymore?

Grew up with the SNES version
Even the spin-off games like Lomax or Lemmings Paintball are awesome
Fuck the haters
OP holy fuck I think you cured my video game feelings
I miss the times when I got home with some games I borrowed from my friends and used XCopy to pirate them for myself.
Amiga was the greatest gaming station.
I imagine Lemmings wherre they crawl into my ass was wet it all uip

I'm extremely surprised that there's not a mobile game. Company defunct or something?
Then again, I'm not surprised - it's too slow for modern audiences. Like old JRPG's.
I'd kinda like to revisit the old ones. My young mind got stuck 1/2 way through the first and 2/3 of the way through Tribes.

pressed f to pay respects, remember this on my megadrive and sega saturn. The 3d version was pretty cool in its own way

>Like old JRPG's.
It's the opposite for me. I can't get in to JRPG's now. They're so goddamned slow, I just get bored.
>Battle transition
>Camera pans enemies
>Someone says something
>Choose ability
>Attack intro starts
>Attack animation
>Attack ends
>Fades to black
>Shows party doing victory dance
>Fades to black
>Loot
>Fades to black
>Transitions back to overworld
Final Fantasy 7 started that trend. Mindlessly grinding is so fucking boring when a battle takes a minimum of 30 seconds, even if it's just one attack.

I'm right there with you. Even FF7 has gotten slow for me in replays, but even things like SMRPG, I use the fast forward in battles during long attack animations. PM1, not so much.
