Are there other RPG games similar to the gamecube Paper Mario, or the Mario and Luigi RPG games?
They have to be my favorite type of RPG game I've ever played, it has a nice simple battle system and the action commands to do more damage or avoid damage really add interest to the turn based system.

And /thread.
That's all you get, seriously.

SMRPG
Southpark Stick of Truth
The only ones worth caring about.
PM64, but you've probably already played it. The beginning is ungodly slow, but it's good.
Other than that, you can wait until Clover finishes his hacking tool for 64, and play the demo hack and other hacks.
Also, I've heard that Stick of Truth is not as good as TTYD.

Is that really all there is?
How are the later Mario & Luigi games? I've only played Superstar Saga and Partners in Time
Check out Knuckle Sandwich when it comes out

As much as I like the action commands, I really prefer being more involved in turn-based games.
I think Mega Man Battle Network does it right.
I also like the Tales Of games but those aren't even remotely turn-based
Wish Paper Mario would try to copy off those games if it's not going back to Paper Mario roots

Wouldn't know. Not a fan of M&L.

I would try Bowser's Inside Story. One of the best RPGs I've played. Up there with EarthBound and Fallout 1.

Bowser's inside story is good but not as much as SSS. I've heard dream team isn't that good.

Bowser's Inside Story is pretty good, then there is Dream Team, which is a good game but the unskippable tutorials make replaying it painful.
Skip Paper Jam if you can, the toad hunts kill the game.

Super Mario RPG, Magical Starsign, and Mother 3 have simplistic action commands. Just "press A at the right time for more damage", but it's better than nothing.

Did you post just for the sake of it, or are you trying to make a point?

I am playing through Dream Team now, and it is pretty good. Better than Partners in Time, but not as good as Superstar Saga or Bowser's Inside Story.
The only thing that I don't like about these games is the lack of alternate inventory. There are a couple of same-tear items for each rank/level, but nowhere near the amount you would find in most of the other RPG franchises. I like being able to choose between several same-tier items, weighing the benefits and weaknesses against my play style and character specialties.
You get a fair amount of accessories, but there is not much variety for equipable items.
